kaz 2,439
playing skyforge, some russian sci-fi mmorpg. i like the setting and the combat system but the story and voice acting is awful. it's like a chain of aza's posts lumped together and nothing makes sense. I'm angry at gaming because these free 2 play pay 2 win models ruin games with actual good ideas. too bad.
Mr. House 3,371
Been playing a bunch of niche games lately, Banner of the Maid, a Chinese made SRPG set during the time of the French revolution and Napoleon, its more Fire Emblem than Final Fantasy Tactics and despite never been a huge fan of the former, Im having a lot of fun with this game, its also real cheap (under $20 USD), Im roughly 9 hours in. And Ion Fury, a new FPS made with Duken Nukem 3D graphics engine, the game kicks a lot of ass, Im enjoying it even more than DOOM Eternal. Its not all perfect though, I find the variety of guns and enemies to be lacking. A few more enemies types and weapons would make this game nearly perfect. Anyway they are both great and easy to recommend if you are looking for something of the sort. Im also playing Torment Tides of Numenera, the spiritual sequel of Planescape Torment (which I have never played). But Im so early I cant say much about it, other than theres a lot of reading and not enough voice acting. After Divinity 2 (the best game ever made) I need more WRPGs in my life. Im still waiting for Pillars of Eternity to go on sale, and Im buying Wasteland 3 later this month.

I thought it always looked good but a lot of people had mixed feelings about it.

Not grindy at all, you can do some side missions to gain exp to bring lower level characters up to snuff but its not even required, leveling up is not even that important since enemies scale to your level anyway. The pacing is excellent, you spend way more time on story missions than the side stuff. The story is okay, the writing could be better, and despite taking place in a historical setting its slowly going into JRPG tropes. Although its still cool if you are a fan of the era, like having the famous commander Murat of the French army as one of your playable character took me by surprise. The game starts at the siege of Toulon, where Napoleon distinguished himself for the first time, after that it only closely follows the real stuff though, as you are playing with Napoleon sister and not the man himself. Its okay though for what it is and has enough intrigues to keep you interested. Im not sure who has mixed feelings about this game, because it delivers where it counts. Its a great little SRPG that came out of nowhere and the price is so cheap, its hard to be overly critical of the overall package.
Sabo 442
Finally caved and bought Dragon Quest XI about two weeks ago. This game took over all of my free time LOL, its been a long time since a JRPG has hooked me this deep. I'm almost done with Act 2 but so far this game has been magical. Just such a great and chill game. I've been backing the wrong horse for all these years... Fuck Final Fantasy. 2

Sometimes the service doesn't start when you boot your PC, so when you go to launch the game its like 'vanguard isn't initialized you're gonna have to restart your PC' It feels so shoddily put together. Teh_Diplomat 2,054
Picked up Titan Fall 2 for a few bucks. I was always interested in it since it scored well, and reminds me of Shogo: Armoured Division from the late 90's, by Monolith. So far the gunplay is solid - enemies and your character will get dropped quickly; so no bullet sponge to it, the movement is easy to grasp, but great timing can lead to some very slick kills; and the story is well, a story. I'm not really following along other than I know we're facing some other army with Mechs of their own.

Sabo 442
I'm in Act 3 but have a question: Is there anything I should do before I break the Time Sphere and go back in time? Don't want to miss out on anything good.
