I know twin blade said he was going to try it. I’m still early but the Game is looking to be a banger for sure. The story is a lot more epic than I thought, I’m honestly pretty confused with where it’s going as I thought it was going to be much more small scale than what it is, even going in knowing it was an end of the world type plot.

It has that distinctive Atlus USA/ persona localization which is pure quality. The dialogue and voice acting are all superb.

Japanese voice track option?

I won't be playing anything for months or close to a year probably, stuck in bumfuck nowhere Montenegro in the middle of endless mountains, imagine Rocky IV's training location without the snow (yet)

There's this one scene in Days Gone that is a perfect example of what the game is and everything wrong with it.

The amount of shit going on in Control during fights is next level compared to anything else ive seen.   I also started playing Witcher 3 again. Damn this game is fucking awesome. It still l

13 Aegis is really damn good and interesting. This is probably the most intricate and deepest Vanillaware game from a world building and story perspective, even if it does start off being kind of confusing (because of the way it jumps between characters). But once you get a grip on the pacing it becomes incredibly engaging. Its only weakness so far is the battles, mainly the art style they use. The regular 2D art is detailed and looks great but then they switch to Geometry Wars looking visuals for the battles which is really jarring.

Yeah I find that while I’m enjoying the battles  I really can’t see what’s going on most of the time.  Everything just sort of blends together.

its interesting how deep the battles actually are though. After the prologue it completely opens up

One issue I was having with 13 sentinels is that since it focused on so many characters, the story felt somewhat disjointed at the start. I’m glad to see it all is coming together nicely and making sense the more you play.

Im just floored by the visuals. It’s seriously incredible to just stop and look at.

Edit: wrong dev. Still, I read the VO is great via reviews.

you were right, technically. Different dev, same publisher. Every game published by Atlus USA gets translated, and they hire english voice actors and handle voice direction.

So the Same people who translated and did all the voice direction for this, also did it for Persona 4-5, Catherine etc. They've always had a fantastic team who work on the localization for all the games they publish in english.

@Delita

Are there sections where you can't proceed as a specific character unless you fulfill some kind of condition first? (very minor spoiler below)

Was trying to confront the cat in the shopping district but it keeps on moving off screen. Not sure if im just missing something

Spoiler

That part was annoying at first. You have to move up to the cat once till she stops, turn around and maybe take one step back at most and quickly talk to the girl and ask her for treats. It took me several tries to do it without scaring it

Tell me about it. There’s a few more later but nothing like that so far.
