Phil really did a number on him :D
He sure is. Crazy to see it especially during all the speculation of PS5 and Series X and S. :drake:

So im around 3 and a half hours into Rebirth. A couple of quick thoughts

- The presentation as a whole is quite impressive. The cinematic nature of some of the set pieces and combat encounters is Square at the top of their game
- The graphics themselves can be a mixed bag. Sometimes the game looks amazing, other times it looks pretty muddy. The open world so far is quite detailed and sharp overall, but I don't think the game as a whole is as impressive as Remake was.
- Combat is still really fast and fluid. And there seems to be more features to make it more dynamic and varied.
- The FF style dialogue can be pretty cheesy and hard to take seriously. Maybe its because im coming off of Infinite Wealth and its very grounded characters and storylines but there have been several parts in rebirth where my literal reaction was something like 'people don't talk like this IRL :|'
- I heard a lot of hype regarding the card game, Queen's Blood, but im not really feeling it so far.

Quote from: David P on March 02, 2024, 02:05:24 AMEvery battle devolve into a puzzle essentially. It sucks and the bloated nature of Gwent removed the fast paced fun of the original mini game in the W3 if you ask me. Not that I minded having a map and stuff to do in Thronebreaker other than Gwent, I mean Gwent itself is needlessly bloated with dumb gimmick mechanics that made it not fun and feel more like a puzzle.

Idk. I didn't get that vibe at all. I played a bunch of Thronebreaker and also the MP Gwent, and they were both exactly the type of evolution I wanted from W3 Gwent.

Games Sony should have have added a VR mode:

TLOU part 1 and 2, simple gameplay transition to VR being a shooter.

Helldivers 2, same thing.

Horizon Forbidden West, considering it run on PS4 it would be feasible, third party view VR games are surprisingly cool. Would be better than Flop of of the mountains anyways.

Sackboy Adventure, simple transition. Would partially make up for Astro Bot 2 being MIA.

Original first party games needed badly: New Wipeout, New Astro Bot, New Everybody's Golf... Anything. :shakes:

Fuck Sony.

Cows that actually bought this :kaz:

PSVR1 was a massive flop, had really slow sales but at least Sony tried. Each year had a few new first party exclusives.

They have a better product/tech now and they do nothing. Why stop at just having a VR mode for GT7? :| Just add a VR mode to all feasible first party games. It can't be all that expensive and GT7 was arguably one of the best reason to own a PSVR 2 aside Capcom RE4/RE8.

Quote from: Twinblade on March 02, 2024, 12:59:25 AMLol what? The vast majority of the game is just gwent with more features. The 'puzzle' battles are a very small part of it and completely optional
