Can very much see this happening but it is very much a 'here for a good time not a long time' kind of game. That initial gameplay loop that hooks you in when things click is truly superb.
Im less hot on it now than I was before. I feel like i've hit a wall and I can't figure out how to progress to the next level, plus i've already earned enough gold to get all of the unlocks so im not feeling the carrot on a stick effect as much.
The first 10-15 hours were a lot of fun though so you can definitely get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Finished Act 1 and started the next Act on Pentiment. It's slightly better than earlier but honestly not at all impressed with the game and I mean that even within it's genre. Atm I'd say its a 6.5. Practically zero memorable or very engaging characters, story and plot is ok, the gameplay is extremely limited even in a dialogue based detective type game, maneuvering around the world is a pain and the pace is extremely slow. This certainly aint no Disco Elysium.
So I had to have a break from it as it was boring me and I decided to try Vampire Survivors.
Holy shit this game is
You know, I was checking The Video Game Awards nominees out again, and like what the fuck... how the hell do Christopher Judge and Sunny Suljic get nominated for their performances in God of War Ragnarok over Richard Schiff for Odin or Danielle Bisutti for Freya?? That's so ass backwards
The BBC comments section on the England vs Wales game is brutal. I suppose its Karma for the Welsh team celebrating after the England vs Iceland debacle.
Wow you are right. The CG visuals are incredible. So there is a kids show called Star Trek Prodigy and that has some of the best CG visuals I've ever seen. All you have to do is watch the intro. The show looks just like that.
Wednesday is a good show to watch with a date. Ortega is excellent in it (she basically makes the show). but, despite its dark scenes, it's full of teen thriller tropes. again, it's great with a date, but i can't recommend it for solo viewing.
Sort of tempted now that MWII remake is out. Problem is most of my friends who play it, play it on Playstation but I never liked that controller for shooter games tbh. I lowkey avoid online shooters for the most part because of the Dualshock design. It's a shame Sony wont bite the bullet and move the sticks around.
The story IS NOT AMAZING. Surprisingly few characters actually matter in the end.
I have better memories of random cult members I abused in Cult of the Lamb than Panam who is probably the best Cyberpunk character. They kill important characters too early so they really don't matter by the end. Johnny Silverhand is copying Tyler Durden with about 5% of the chaotic energy. Boring shit.
The ending is tedious, adds about an hour to the game, and then STILL doesn't do anything cool.
And saying all this, the story is the only reason to actually finish the game bec
