  1. Absolutely loved the first ep. Honestly don't know how it could have been done any better. Super loyal to the game with some 1 for 1 scenes while elevating many others. Sarah fleshed out way more in this that made that moment even better. The outbreak scene with the car was incredible and the plane crash instead of a car crash was sick. There was easter eggs, explanations of thing not known in the game and an absolutely epic intro. That first scene was like pure Chernobyl, knew the show would be a banger from the writing in that scene alone. Loyal to the source material while elev

  2. GOAT series with the GOAT adaption Never a doubt given the people involved. All reviews, both from gaming outlets and tv outlets that haven't played the game are all saying how amazing it is! Exceeded expectations in every way! 96% at Rotten Tomato after 51 reviews 84 at Metacritic (higher than Chernobyl)

  3. I agree. Activision is trash but I want them to block the deal so I can watch lemshits cry and so that it sends a message to the shitty companies that are trying to consolidate the industry that they can't just buy out everything without doing any work for it.

  5. Bethesda is not going to have a slick, smooth perfectly running, non-bug open world game............ever. It will never happen. They're not delaying it because they want it to be perfect. They're delaying it because either entire features aren't finished, or they haven't finished making their quest content yet. OR because the game is still running so bad that they have to try and fix it as much as they can.

  7. was Aza insisting it was heterosexual for a man to sleep with a femboy, and that it was really a female. I was so mad arguing back and forth, and it only hit me years later it was a troll. I've copied the method and have been using it on others since then. The reactions are priceless, insisting the person who says this must be in the closet.

  10. I enjoyed TLOU’s premiere very much. It’s everything I had hoped it would be. death was a gut punch, more so than in the game. Aesthetically, I love the desaturated color grading. I also love how the cgi feels more organic and not ultra stylized.

  11. Japanese continues to suck at building hype for their games. Sounds like a game early in development and a bunch of devs making up shit that haven't come close to materialized yet. Let's show some clips of that CGI trailer and a storyboard. Please, be excited.

  12. As for what the first episode contains, its a pretty logical stopping point. You have to learn what makes Ellie special by the end of the first episode, and how they discover it is a bit better, and more tension-filled than the way they did it in the game. At the same time, if there are people who do not know the video game, then they don't know that its just going to be Joel and Ellie here soon. So there's no point in having certain people die just yet. Just about everything occuring in this episode is given a more-logical reason than in the video game.

  13. Absolutely love the opening scene, and it brilliantly answers the concern of them moving away from the video game's science fiction logic of pollen, and firmly establishing it as a fungal infection. The opening 5 minutes does a better job establishing the science fiction logic in a clean and easily understandable way, than the video game ever did. Wow, Craig Mazin is not a one-hit wonder after Chernobyl. He has a knack for writing scenes in which a scientist says some shit that scares a room full of people.

  14. I agree on the PS1 its 3D games were laughable but sone could work around the limitations. MGS, Tomb raider, resident evil, and a whole bucketload of JRPGs. The PS4 though? Jaguar bland? Atari Jaguar? that was always the "it only has AVP" console, which is one more game than xbox one ever had

  15. Im pretty happy with the first ep. I don't really care if these actors embody the game performances to a t. The show will be better if the people involved are able to make their own creative choices. It's a bit pointless if this show is just restaging the cutscenes as accurately as possible. The only criticism I have is that the first episode feels like an arbitrary chunk of story. They could've kept it to an hour and ended with Sarah dying. Or with Ellie first leaving with Joel and Tess. Where they left it kinda feels like mid-mission to me.

  16. Watched the TLOU premiere. It was a 7/10 for me. Show has potential but I definitely have some issues with it. First and foremost Bella Ramsey as Ellie just doesn't work so far. Not just her appearance but her voice and how she conducts herself doesn't match up with the character at all IMO. I will say Pedro Pascal and Anna Torv are nailing Joel and Tess though and I almost immediately felt a sense of familiarity with them that I didn't get with Bella Ramsey. Less of an issue but a bit underwhelming is the production values. Directing, editing,

  18. Because MS thought they were on top of the world. At the time they figured rehashing HALOGEARSFORZA every year, combined with a slew of kinnect shovelware and 30 day exclusive CoD map packs was all gamers ever needed and therefore to them it didn't matter who made Halo so long as they had a Halo to complete the rehash trifecta. They probably thought all that TV TV TV shit they were planning for Xflop Done was an ace up their sleeves too. Microsoft doesn't understand gaming so you need to look at all decisions they make in that light. That's why none of their decisions make sense, b
