Origins can be tricky in that situation. I think they gave Barry too much back story. His dad part makes sense as it shows his motivation. The part with the girl was a waste of time. Except for a few duds the animated group at WB makes some really good stuff. The animated Suicide Squad movie put the live action to shame.

They are operating on different wave lengths. Which is why Marvel is mostly solid and DC is mostly a mess. Which sucks because Batman, Wonder Woman and Darkseid are some of my favorite comic character. Wonder Woman is 1 for 1, so there's plenty of life left in the character. One of the things I appreciate about the the extended JL is they did the Amazon parts a bit better than before. Hope the next Wonder Woman movie they can do something forward thinking. It's better than the the theatrical, but that's not saying much. However one vision is better than two conflicting ones. It's brutally long for no reason. 90 minutes could have been cut with absolutely nothing lost. Snyder is truly one of the worst A-list directors in Hollywood.

Seriously, fucking stop wasting money on this. GTA online with a controller is more immersive than any VR game can hope to be in a next 2 decades.

There's a chill documentary about it. It's interesting in alot of ways. Apparently Warner Brothers were barely even aware they owned the Superman property. They let some shifty producers make it and it accidentally became a good movie dispite the producers harassing Donner on a daily basis.

I haven't researched it but I feel like Xbox fanboys are more likely to be Snyder fans than anyone else.

For what it's worth, it's actually a reverse Zack Snyder where near the end of the second Superman movie they fired Donner. In order to not credit him they had his replacement shoot over half of the movie and gutted Donners scenes. Part of the problem is that he shot some scenes they couldn't cut for continuity so they added dumb shit. The Donner cut is supposedly much better but he never got to shoot the ending scenes and it was impossible to film that over again so it's not his complete vision.
