I went to a 360/VR creator conference a few years ago. It was basically a trade show telling people how influential 360/VR could be. The whole conference was truly about how to monetize 360/VR, mostly in immersive ads and sponsored content. Nothing really to do with creating stand alone games or an actual entertainment products.
