Wouldn't this require there to be a specific fingerprint for each individual physical copy of the game? Like when you get a combo movie, they just give you a serial code for the digital copy of the movie. It's not like like the physical copy is paired directly to the disc. This also means that the physical copy of a game could potentially become worthless then. You're introducing more problems than solving here.

The only thing I could think of is someone needing the physical disc to authenticate the digital version of the game which would basically negate the "advantage" of the digital release.

I still enjoy theaters. I saw Harley Quinn at the Alamo and although it ran me about $125 after tax and tip...which I'll never let happen again lol it was a fun experience. I only ever see big must see movies like John Wick 3, Avengers, and Star Wars in theaters. The simple fact is not all movies are worth a trip to the theater anyway. I saw that movie Onward on Disney + and that movie was in no way worth the price of a ticket, but I also watched Frozen 1 and 2 because my GF wanted to see them and while not totally my thing, those movies are worth a theater experience. My one regret is waiting

Well, depends. If you're talking about big name ones then yah. Photoshopping is....a loaded topic. While I do photoshop pretty much every photo I take, Photoshop is so nuanced it's not fair to just say a photoshop image is a lie or whatever. I mean you can use photoshop to completely misrepresent someone but it can also be so subtle that it doesn't really make the model a liar. Also Photoshop can fix some flaws in the process of photography and modeling and actually making it more representative of reality.

Anyone would kill for a 25% attach rate for software so I don't see why you would mention that like it's a bad thing.
