Stuff like Ellie just being out in the middle of an enemies line of sight could be fixed if the AI knows where they are in the environment relative to where the enemy is Or even a sports game like Rocket League could benefit. AI could actually predict paths of the ball, how it could be hit or rebounded

I think he was more demonstrating what a big barrier that current storage methods are. Games could probably load load way faster now on GDDR5. But if it still needs to load off the HDD then that becomes the bottleneck

Why would actual next gen games be different? I think the point was more that the barrier is gone. But if your game is still badly optimised you won’t be getting the best load times We will also have to deal with less load hiding like slow opening doors and such

When I was in my early teens and a bit of a teddy tuna I would smash cokes every day. Then I switched to Diet Coke and it made no difference to my weight. Probably gained more. They wanted to have it so you could instantly warp between worlds like Guacamalee but couldn’t achieve it. Would be cool if they could actually implement it in the next game

I don’t agree. Cerny is at he helm again and he is a very forward thinking guy. He was getting stuff like native twitch integration and share play done before anyone else was thinking of it I wouldn’t be surprised if streaming is way more heavily integrated into how PS5 works Im not even that into the idea of streaming generally. But I love the idea of stuff like opening the PS Store and quickly demoing a game right from the page with streaming before buying

It’s probably just that they have a one size fits all approach Hopefully they are planning some big improvements but they won’t be able to get those PS3 games above 720p if they don’t use upgraded hardware with BC
