I think we should forget about third party games from AAA devs on Switch 2. But definitely it should be a huge upgrade for first party hardware to work on for Nintendo.

Halo Infinite failed as a long term platform. They're going to reboot the franchise (again) .

So the Switch 2 could launch as late as 2025 at this rate. Late 2024 is the absolute earliest.

When Sony bought Bungie they spent an extra bullion paying premiums to salaries so people wouldn't leave the company. Sony understands gaming much better than MS.

First Series L the gamepass box fails, then XCloud isn't taking off. Another failed MS gen with hopes of getting some games in the later half.

The franchise has just ran it's course and should be shelved for a new shooter IP at this point. This isn't Zelda or Final Fantasy that you can keep running indefinitely. Maybe there is no studio that can revive it. It's artificially being kept alive with massive budgets and MS's unwillingness to accept maybe they can't milk it forever. At this point Halo is around because of MS's IP factory not some IP potential or artistic vision.

Tales of Arise doesn't have jack shit on Tales of Berseria and Vesperia even with it's huge budget and modern UE4 graphics. ;(
