Returnal is going to be legit, Housemarque are a fanastic developer. Plus the idea of action metriod is a game thats lacking in all 3 lineups of the big three.

And? It will look and run like Dark Souls 3. This looks and runs like a PS5 game. Literally a redundant arguement.

RE8 is a fanastic example of the upgrade of next-gen, like other RE engine games the faces, and materials are great and can be comparable to next-gen in certain scenes and circustanses. But as soon as the question of vegetation arises for example, that shit is leagues below real next-gen games. Just look at it, you can tell this is a PS4 cross gen game, not PS5.

Honestly its what would game look like if they were made for a high end 2019 PC, with an insane SSD. Its essentially what we are getting.

I'm surprised what an upgrade Ratchet is over Ratchet 2016, I thought we were approaching heavy diminshing returns in cartoony games. Quiet the opposite actually.

The battle of first party will be very gimped regardless. You can tell this because Sony is getting timed exclusibity of Ghost Wire and that Arkane game. MS is doing the same The Medium and that other game. When you're buying out timed exclusivity, rest assured BOTH are going to have a fairly limited first party output.

It's the only fully RT'd game shown at the whole conference, and you can actually tell there is RT in lighting and reflections.

This legit looks 100x better than GT Sport, I'm surprised.

Checked Dark Souls 3 screens, its a big upgrade but subtle in lighting and material quality. Not raw geometric detail.

Some people can't decide if Horizon looks too good cause its all CGI, and if there isn't enough of a graphics leap. Pick one. But overall diminshing returns are real because the upgrades are subtle.

Skipped the current gen version knowing I'd get the full game with RT, and all new content on disc. Honestly it all depends on Silent Hill at this point. If Silent Hill exists MS automatically loses, if it doesn't MS has a fighting chance.

They can deliver intersting titles with Fable, Perfect Dark, some new IPs. But let's be real as long as they are on PC the hype falls drastically.

This also brings the question whats the price difference between a discless or disc PS5. Since the fucking thing is like $15 bucks saved.
