I don't know what the power difference will be between Switch 2 and XBoy, but it won't be insanely huge and since XBoy will have the majority of third party support so will Switch 2. Plus chances are that Sony is also coming out with some sort of handheld.

Vita was a turbo XBox 1 with much more RAM. PS360 games were very downgraded on it, forget about that thing running PS4 games in ANY form.

SD is weaker than Switch 2, has no DLSS even digital foundry says it's not THAT faraway from the Series S. Imagine what a docked Switch 2 would do for this game.

Alan Wake 2 is the only Steamdeck game that runs kinda meh. If SD actually had DLSS, this would be a completely different story in portable mode.

The hardware has become amazing, Steamdeck which is not even the most powerful handheld kit and is outperformed other handheld platforms like Ally, Switch 2 included can run EVERY high end game. With Switch 2 we'll be hitting 2+gbps storage which is extremely close to a Series console SSD. Hellblade 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield etc all run at a solid FPS like their console counterparts. They don't even to cut the framerate in half to achieve this. If we were to compare it to previous gens, it's the PSP being able to run Gears of War, Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2. Or the GBA being abl

While true most of it's main franchises started on the NES, and SNES was just an evolution no matter how good it was. NES changed gaming way more than SNES. It's like PS1 it changed the gaming landscape and PS2 was just an iteration.

I think every generation that follows the next is always better, everthing is just nostalgia. Gaming is only getting better with time imo.

Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Zero Dawn already look amazing. And switch 2 will have 50% more ram than the Ps4, much stronger CPU, and a 2gbps storage medium. The next Zelda game is going to absolutely butcher the best PS4 has to offer.
