  1. No that was misinformatio.n that was corrected. Most games will work. They tested the top 100 with boost mode, and it didn't break the games.
  2. https://wccftech.com/albert-penello-ps5-not-dissapointed-smart/ TLDR. He suspects PS5 can price lower than X.
  3. You can buy a PC SSD for the PS5. By the time the Pro rolls out I can see people swapping for even faster SSDs :)
  4. It's a bit funny how the media is jerking off to the PS5 SSD. It's like everyone forgot about X's 12tflops, more importantly RAM bandwidth advantage. Differences are small but X has the objective win. This further proves gamers dont know shit about specs and hype whatever marketing bullshit that gets thrown at them. Tflops are officially dead according to the media.
  5. Spiderman was optimized for the SSD I think though. Also 22 GBPS for the PS5 SSD is the maximum theoretical. Remij was wrong.
  6. Sony was probably always aiming for 36CUs all along. 1.8ghz in 2019. Upped to 2.0 for 2020, and then pushed to double tflop digits for marketing purposes. At least that's my take on the situation.
  7. Well supposedly they duplicate a lot of data for faster streaming so next gen file sizes won't be that scary.
  8. Gears 5 loading was like 30 seconds on One, and like 15 on Series X. I don't get the performance variance in loading times. State of Decay loaded like 5-6 times faster in comparison.
  9. There are some games that perform worse than the Pro, nevermind X. Kill that fucki g thing.
  10. All BC we got before PS2, Wii, Wii U, PS3, 3DS, Gameboy etc was garbage compared to this. Both consoles are setting a new standard for BC for the future regardless. They all performed the same the original hardware. Not even sure if we got slightly faster loading, nevermind performance upgrades It's the most quality BC we've ever seen in the console space. Not quiet on the level of PC obviously but damn if it doesn't make console games age much better.
  11. Next gen sounds amazing. Our expectations a year ago. 10 GCN Tflops, nevermind VRS, Mesh shading etc to boost performance further No Ray Tracing No SSD at all, nevermind beastly 4-5gbps per second as minimum. I'd like to remind that Stadia's 10.7 GCN flops, we were thinking that POS was what we would get.
  12. I read the SSD is so fast the PS5 can have half a gigs for OS leaving 15.5 gigs usable for games. That'd really hell with the small RAM total jump we got this gen.
  13. 20-25 FPS difference is absolutely brutal. Who cares about resolution in such a case lmao
  14. There was a leak earlier I think. 12tflops Anaconda, 4 Lockhart, 8 PS5. PS5 was probably their 2019 model. 36 CUs 1.8ghz RDNA1.
  15. "To date, we’ve spent over 100K hours testing your favorite games from Xbox One, including existing backward compatible 360 & OG Xbox games, on Xbox Series X. While we are still in the process of validating, we can confirm thousands of games will be playable at launch.” MS said the same thing, I wonder if it's just phrasing so they don't get sued.
  16. The versions tested were 1.00 on the Playstation 4 systems and 1.0.0.0 on the Xbox One systems. PS4 Pro renders at a resolution of 2880x1620 and downsamples from this resolution when outputting at 1080p with forced supersampling disabled. Xbox One X renders at a resolution of 3840x2160. PS4 renders at a native resolution of 1920x1080. Xbox One normally renders at a resolution of approximately 1920x1080, but at some points during cutscenes it seems to render at a resolution of approximately 1728x972. PS4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One X seem to be using a form of Checkerboard Rendering to reach the
  17. The vast majority of console owners are "Sony fanboys" going by hardware sales. It's an objective statistic.
