Yeah if you take out the combat the NT game is infinitely better in everything. Not like V's combat is fun anyways.

Its really poor. Outside of combos this game does nothing right. It even has reduced puzzle and adventure elements from the previous games so the whole "game" is one glorified bloody palace. Level design has no atmosphere, world building or coherence. DMC1 is still one of the most atmospheric games with its RE roots and world building. Even Bayo level design feels like a league above this and it wasn't the games strong poin nevermind Ninja Garden Black. Also this makeserealize what an amazing job From did with Sekiro and Team Ninja with Nioh.

Gaming will never turn into Netflix, that's not how you monetise many games and genres. So it's an irrelevant worry.

The issue as always is price though. No one truly overdelivers unless the price is right. If it's 500 it's cool. If it's 600 then it's a no shit moment it has to be powerful.

Teasers for Vanquish and Bayonetta were also pretty mediocre.

Yeah expectations have been surpassed. RT hardware, SSD, 12 RDNA tflops was fan fiction a year ago

Nemesis being a pursuer is fine it's in the title of the game. Mr X was annoying because the original RE2 did not have a pursuer design.
