Saturn and Wii U flopped hard so it's natural for people to move on from those systems. One did underperform compared to the 360, but it's not a complete flop, so for many they need exclusives to jump into the next XBox. MS will start building their next gen console library two years into the gen, and that by itself makes it a shit deal.

I know lemmings have have stockholm syndrome at this point, but it's natural to launch a system with exclusives to give it value and a greater incentive to buy it. It's the natural behaviour of any normal platform holder not chained down by a shit service like game pass. No one really wants their next gen system to be a glorified X/Pro model for the first 2 years. Hardware upgrades are nice, and a great reason to buy a system.
