  1. Sony expects PS5 to be their fastest adopted gen and transition. Which makes me suspect 399. So I think Phil might walkout with the most powerful console. If both are 500 that one is up in the air, I think Sony has a good shot since I can't see MS losing money on this thing if it will need an emergency 100 dollars off.
  2. Well next gen is going to have SSDs and part of the marketing is no load times and borderline instant play. So that's coming.
  3. But Nintendo handhelds always missed out on AAA level games anyways, and if anything streaming them to Switch is not excluded. It's clear that Switch is doing just fine with or without COD, GTA or Ass Creed.
  4. But this is the same circa 2009 arguement that phones would kill Nintendo's handheld business. Now under a new sauce. Actually going by 2012 era logic this would have also been the last generation of consoles.
  5. I agree on some points, but Nintendo at least for the moment is the only one that can release a dedicated handheld and have it succeed. I think that's here to stay for a long long time. It's their most successful handheld so far, only because MS and Sony won't succeed in the handheld market doesn't mean Nintendo can't keep this going for decades ahead.
  6. Well MS games steam or epic are going to be going through the same Live backend and have cross play with XBox and XCloud. The actual experience will be the same.
  7. One thing I will never understand about the PC scene is when people refuse to buy a game they want to play because it's not on store X or Y. This just baffles me.
  8. Yeah retarded, like buying up a bunch of studios then release all their games on Steam when they have their own store. Brad Sams confirmed other stores for all future releases, not only Steam and even an app called Garrison by MS that will let your merge the stores for your own viewership. MS is telling your retarded ass they are going third party. Like flatout.
  9. We aren't at the climax yet, that's yet to come. Don't forget many are delusional enough to assume next gen will be some sort of XBox hardware division comeback. We got our own special case here with Dynamite, but there are many that believe this. Just go to a big forum and read what the people with Master Chief avatars are saying, it's like they're crying eating an onion.
  10. 2001-2009 Xbox leadership was cutthroat as fuck though. They got a ton of stuff right.
  11. 1. Sony partnership with MS in the Cloud business, lead by the CEOs. Whatever they say goes, individual divisions don't mean shit in global cooperate strategies. Probably trying to lockdown a PSN transition next-gen to Azure which is billions of dollars a year they can take away from Amazon. 2. Shawn Layden sucking Phil's dick, Phil sucking off Sony with "Mutual gaming vision". Jim Ryan PS CEO saying their partnership is much more global than just streaming. 3. All future games on Steam/Epic store, two COMPETING platforms. Full third party on PC. Arguably even more than
  12. Sony has had exclusive content and marketing deals for COD for four years now, and all of a sudden the new COD has cross play with XBox. Anyone really think Sony is doing this out of the kindness of their heart? E3 is going to be interesting for say the least.
  13. I think MS is going to try to get Sony to move their PSN non streaming infrastructure to their structure for big bucks. Something like this someone made. Getting PSN to transition to Azure is billions of dollars long term that they take away from Amazon
  14. Do you believe people like Remij that build PCs that cost as much as a new car, and eat up enough power for a mini nuclear plant are going to switch to streaming for example.
  15. Phil Spencer ✔ @XboxP3 Excited about the opportunities ahead with @Sony for us to pursue our mutual gaming ambitions and delight players around the world. "Mutual gaming ambitions". Not this E3, sadly . Their memorudum if understanding is recent, so it will take some time.
  16. Beginning today, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will no longer be available for testing and purchase to Xbox Insiders. We appreciate your willingness to test and provide feedback on our new subscription. Your membership will continue to renew at $1/month until the product is released to the general public later this year, when it will renew at the standard price for your region (USA: $14.99 USD/month, Australia: 15.95 AUD/month, Canada: $16.99 CAD/month, United Kingdom: 10.99 GBP/month). Thank you for being a valued Xbox Insider and we hope you enjoy Xbox Game Pass Ultimate!
  17. I think arguing about tflops is honestly irrelevant now. The big remaining question in the puzzle if there will be real hardware accelerated ray tracing. That's the big if.
  18. MS wants to merge the XBOx/PC/XCloud store into one. So you can use their services eventually and have access to the games you bought, in their ideal scenario on native hardware then also access them from XCloud on the go. 360/OG XBox are clearly going to be part of that strategy. This is another "no shit" moment where Dynamite somehow thinks it's not eventually happening.
  19. So apparently the Navi CUs are more efficient but they are larger in size and the biggest desktop Navi will be 44 CUs. The top end card that's going to be 500 will tap out at like 12tflops or something. So 10tflops for consoles, maybe even 9 sounds about right.
  20. I have no faith in streaming outside the existing base. I can see people signing up to get access to the games they own on PS of XBox, outside that I don't think there is this huge base. I think it will be mostly console people. On PC it seems even more pointless imo.
  21. There is no hard data to suggest the mobile market is interested to play streamed games over F2P games. And even then the vast majority don't even spend money on their F2P games
