Game Pass Switch, willing to take a sig/avy bet. When XCloud comes to phones, I expect there to at least be a Switch announcement of it happening. Though its faraway XCloud is a 2020 thing. Also willing to take a Forza S/Ori Switch bet for 2019.

If Sony or MS set out with a 4K @ 60fps marketing I can see 90% of their first party adhere to that. But that's cause they are first party and getting guidelines. The Order was freaking 800p for christ's sake after all the 1080p bullshit. Third party working across multiple system configurations? Highly unlikely.

There are always limitations, there is always a bottleneck stopping you from doing X or Y.

I assume this was the thought process people had when going from last gen to expecting all games being 1080p this gen. It didn't pan out like that. That's for 30fps games. I can't remember a single 1080p @ 60fps game this gen with complex visuals on the base models.

The number crunching theorycrafting might make sense, real world results with massively more complex visuals and going by experience of previous gens 4K native is highly unlike for post cross gen games. If anything as the gen goes on many games take a resolution/framerate hit to push graphical fidelity.

I personally like the 4K 60fps checkerboard idea from more frames for higher accuracy. Making a whole host of games 60fps would be god sent.

A lot of cluseless people think resolution = graphics. Its 32 vs 64 bit level marketing. Most people on forums are even clueless.

I also dont see Lockhart being 1080p. 1440/2160p checkerboard makes way mores sense. Its going to have more GPU grunt that X.

He also said Anaconda is designed to match the PS5, and Lockhart is some hobo solution. I don't like the sound of that, so PS5 $500 is a possibility.

Game pass on Switch can exist only after XCloud rolls out, no one expected otherwise. The upcoming ports are a huge give away where this is going to go. On top Matt hinted this all the way back in 2017, and his latests posts basically said MS and Nintendo have figured out a monetisation deal that will suit them both in a gamepass deal.

All he is saying is that XCloud won't launch till 2020 from the looks of it, it's not even had a beta. Your Ori and Forza S are coming this year, irrelevant of game pass.

MS is in damage control mode because its too big of a leak they need to put the brakes on it a bit. The funny thing we had a Forza S leak today. The issue is XCloud might not come till 2020, thats the big if here, when XCloud will be up. Obviously the ported native solutions were to build up the brand before a full XCloud deployment.

All Ubisoft games launch with a more expensive version that has a season pass in it. So content update is free or I missed something? I can't find it.
