  1. Was driving home from work today and heard on the news that a guy was killed returning back to his house after the storm. He was surveying the damage done, and as he was going through some of the wreckage he got electrocuted by a downed power line.

So you can just imagine how many fatalities come after a heavy storm like that which is capable of doing so much damage to so many structures.  It's dangerous to even go back to your property just to inspect it.  These storms have got to be respected.

  2. I totally get the sentiment from console gamers that they're tired of this shit.. but I'm happy all these older games are coming back as collections and remasters and that they're bringing them all to PC.  A lot of new games which were never on PC before have come to it, and some of the old PC versions of these games either have some issue like controller support or even don't work with the OS anymore without mods (like the Classic RE Trilogy).. so it's nice to have them get re-released IMO.

Hermits have been owned. The story was that we were actual.y buying games and that if Steam ever went down they would give all the licenses to us.

At least there is piracy :hest:

    No it wasn't... :D

Everyone since forever has known you're buying a license and not something physical..

What Valve said is if Steam ends.. you will still be able to access your games..  meaning your license is still valid.. probably from some servers Gabe has guaranteed to remain operational.

You were sooo concerned though weren't you not? :umad:

If the game had underperformed in the UK, all of Europe and the US  you would have made different threads showing your concern for the game's performance in each region.

One thread for UK.. Another a couple of weeks later for the US and a month later when the  full European charts came out.

Since you UK "concern" thread fell flat on its face you've been quiet :sass2:

But I didn't... because as it turns out, it did fine in the UK.  So it stands to reason that it's fine elsewhere as well.

And it wasn't me that was sooo concerned... you guy were the ones extremely concerned that I made a thread that might ir might not have been accurate.. BIG concerned I wasn't sucking Astrodik enough for you guys :tom:

That's the UK numbers concern trolling thread you made that backfired when the digital numbers came im for the UK.

This thread is about the entire region of Europe.  Different set of numbers as UK is a small subset of Europe.  These numbers show it did great beyond just the UK.... Or are you still confused that UK =/= all of Europe.

No quite the opposite in fact.  I already acknowledged that it did better in the UK than previously thought... there's no need to jump into the European and US chart threads to do the same.... like you guys desperately wanted me to because you're butthurt I didn't dicksuck the game enough for you. :drake:

There's a reason why it's that cheap. They cut costs on important components like power supply or motherboard to get margins from that cheap piece of crap. That shit will probably end up being a fire hazard at some point. There are so many horror stories of these potato budget builds from Amazon, it's crazy.

    It's originally $1200.

Decent PC but the lack of VRAM in 4070 Super is gonna sting after a while.

^ ^ That is a piece of shit. I'd stick with a PS5 instead of this. Never buy bargain prebuilds from Amazon.

Why?  The components are solid.  Do they have bad build quality or something?

Let's be honest... for that price, that's an amazing PC.  That's basically a PS5 Pro right there for half the price :D

Are you just trying to flex because you have a better PC than me? You can do that all you want. It doesnt change the fact the UE5 games stutter. LOTF stutters. LOTF stutters on autosave. Thats just a fact.

Well, first it was the shader compilation stuttering, and gamers finally complained enough about it and started giving the engine a bad name that they finally started doing something about it, and now most games pre-compile shaders.  Hopefully Epic gets off their asses and solves this traversal stuttering shit now, because tons of people are clowning on Unreal Engine these days for it.

  9. A CAT3 for most people would be the scariest storm they've ever witnessed.  I saw one of those visualizations of what each of the categories looks like and what it can do.. and 3 is already extremely fucked up.

We don't get anything close to that around here obviously.. but I seriously couldn't imagine seeing entire streets and houses having 3ft+ of water.  Shit, if we get a little bit of water leak into the basement it's a big deal for us, and very rarely happens.  Our storms are nothing comparatively... but on the other hand we get absolutely fucked up Winter storms sometimes which are very scary.
