  1. Listed are only ICs from Micron, the competitors Samsung and SK Hynix are not represented. It should also be borne in mind that the quoted reference prices are for a purchase quantity of 2,000 units, graphics card manufacturers are likely to buy significantly larger quantities and thus receive the components cheaper. 3dcenter.org estimates the possible discount on 20 to 40 percent and we would also like to point out once again that the following data are estimates. From the prices quoted, it can be calculated that total storage costs only about $ 35-45 (GDDR5) or $ 55-75 (GDDR6) fo
  2. I have Crackdown syndrome... I just wanna play more
  3. I think $499 should be the new standard that people accept. That's nothing for a product that's expected to last 5-7 years. If people want hardware upgrades to be meaningful then they'll have to accept that the manufacturers also need to make some money off of it. It's not the early 2000's anymore.. Tech is slowing down and these huge chips cost a lot to produce on the worlds leading edge fabrication processes. With the right software and features... $499 is a steal.
  4. I can just imagine how insane the tech demo's for this thing are going to be though God I want next gen to get here quick. I'm tellin yall... mesh shaders and meshlets are going to push game geometry through the roof. Combine that with mixed floating-point precision, variable rate shading and improvements to image reconstruction techniques.. as well as machine learning (not just for image reconstruction, but for developers to improve textures and develop games faster) are going to make for absolutely mind-blowing gfx. CPUs which are finally close to, or on par with, PCs which
  5. Since true next gen games are still a ways away, it looks like Sony is going to pad the launch with updated PS4 games. 20GB of GDDR6 @ 880GB/s doesn't make sense at all though. A 384-bit (24GB) bus would only give them 864GB/s.. and a 20GB (10 chips of 2GB) would require a cut down bus... and they aren't anywhere close to getting that bandwidth. I'm guessing it's a combination of the GDDR6 bus and the DDR4 bus? Could all be horseshit though...
  6. Huh. I wasn't seeing anything besides that Zhuge post.. except that conflicts with what Opencritic says https://opencritic.com/game/1515/crackdown-3 3d 15m left until reviews
  7. No I didn't. I've said the same thing then as I'm saying now. He's the dipshit that's trying to get out of the fact that he said the technology wouldn't work. Wrong wrong wrong
  8. lol it was private.. I forgot to make it public
  9. Busy playing the game dumbo Smackdown
  10. Fuck yes! This is just FUN! Once you get used the movement and breaking lines of sight You on X or PC Dynamite?
  11. Yep. Pretty much my only complaints with it as well. The freezes are unacceptable. Though I will say that it's better now than it was earlier in the day.
  12. On the 15th with Gamepass I believe. I don't even give a fuck what the reviews say. Now that I've played it... I know it's fun. The MP is good for me. Now.. the campaign I hope is good as well. If it doesn't score too bad, I'm going to buy it. If it does, then I'll just gamepass. :)
  13. Red Faction isn't even FUCKING CLOSE to this in scale. Being able to blow a hole in something is not the same as all that debris stay around and physically interact with other debris and gun fire and rockets. Jesus christ you guys trying to talk shit are so sad
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEURtVmPdPE I uploaded a match I played. Was completely clutch at the end The server freezes happen every so often which was annoying. The devs are aware and are working on the fix. Hopefully better by tonights session. Some good destruction at 5:27. Not even nearly as crazy as I've seen though. Cloudtech
