The classic camera is the way to go for battles, definitely recommend switching to it.

While the fun size forge is neat its kind of confusing. When exactly is the best time to strike during the hammer's animation? I feel like im missing the sweet spot a lot.

But yeah the game is really good so far....definitely seems more promising than Ni No Kuni 2.

It has nothing to do with pressing any button during the animation... whether you bash or whether you do a flourish it always raises the bar a set amount.  You basically have to guess the right combination of hits to get it in the sweet spot.  Initially I thought that getting it to the highest end of the green section was the best.. but nah.  You want to have the bar stop where the notch is along the top of the bar.  If you get it perfect, it will highlight and then you move onto the next section.  I managed to get that Gold ring quest perfect after 2 attempts.  It turned into a Gold Ring + 3.

It can affect the stats of things pretty drastically, so it's good to get them as perfect as possible.  What a neat mechanic :)

The seasons in Forza 4 bro, that makes it inherently a different game from the other Forza's that release twice a year :grimaceleft:

Once every 2 years.. and it's kinda dumb to hate on the one racing franchise (Horizon) which consistently and demonstrably improves itself in both visuals and gameplay with every release.

    Seasons do change everything :wow2:

He sickly tried to preemptively damage control it in his "im taking Forza bets" thread.

Watch him come in here and proclaim "I knew this all along".... lol

Not really... in that thread he obviously expected higher resolution than we're getting.

  4. Yea, this game is awesome.  Plain and simple.

First off, it's really well designed and polished.. which I guess is to be expected when you essentially stick to the same formula over decades of development.  But there's just tons of little things that really enhance the experience.  The game has a neat little way of introducing new options/features/mechanics right when you begin to think that it would be useful.  It's like they've taken all these considerations to help you do what you're wanting to do, or go where you want to go, as efficiently as possible.  Anyone who's ready to drop 80+h on an adventure will appreciate all this stuff.

Then there's just the aesthetic and UI design.  It's all nice and consistent, and very easy to access all parts of the menus from anywhere else.  Even just small things like asking if you want to equip something as you buy it, instead of having to buy it.. then exit the shop menu.. then open the menu.. then equip it finally.  Also, the Heal All, and Handy Heal All options are nice too so you can quickly heal your entire party in the most efficient way possible.

Another awesome thing about this game is the Fun-sized Forge.  It's basically how you ca craft weapons/armor/accessories that you learn from various books and people around the world.  It's actually really cool as you essentially have a certain amount of points to hammer away at the item.. you learn skills which allow you to perform different actions to get the item into shape and the closer you get to perfecting the item, the better stats it will have.  If you get it perfect, you get "perfection pearls" which allow you to re-work items.  It's a very cool system, and probably the best of it's kind imo.

I'm almost 10 hours in now and have the urge to jump right back in after just turning it off :whew:

And I'll say it again.. the graphics in this game are stunning. :smoke:

Are you delusional? I talk about games and play more games than %80 of posters here. Look at my fucking posts/threads history. I don't know what else to tell you.

I only started talking about politics very recently. Never gave a shit before, I always been here for games discussions first and foremost.

Just because I spam some threads with fanboy posts every now and then doesn't mean I don't talk about games that interests me.

What the fuck are you smoking? Go look at the WAYP thread or something. The difference is I don't cry when people spam my PSVR threads with worthless shit... I just ignore them.

You're a bitch more often then not.  Completely dismissive about most shit unless it pertains to something that interests you.. and yet you always feel the need to post your shitty opinion and let everyone know that you don't care about shit.  We get it.  You're a highly opinionated prick... and that's fine.  I have no problem with that... if you actually just put some effort in.. it's the constant dismissive shit about everything unless it's something you want to talk about that gets really annoying.  Just try not being a dipshit for a bit?

Wait, so only my posts got deleted. All of them too. Wow. :kaz:

Hey idiot @Remij_, no one gave a shit about this stupid thread in the end. Good job in getting big bad Ramza out of the way of thoughtful discussion about Forza's resolution... Oh wait!

Delete that post too while you're at it you worthless faggot. :mj:

And nobody cared that I deleted your posts dipshit. :tom:

Will this game run ok on my computer ? Retard era says it's dropping frames on 1070s

1080p it will be.  It will definitely run at 30fps (like the PS4 versions) but should also hit 60.  It has the option right in the menu to select 30 or 60fps, so you don't have to fuck with anything.  If you turn the shadow setting down one notch the fps shoot up, you'll likely hit solid 60.

This might be up my alley . I loved turn based RPGs and haven't played one in so long .

I actually think it might be.  It's surprisingly non-grindy so far.   You don't have to fight every enemy.  You gain a good amount of experience and things you need while completing your objectives, so it feels like you're always pushing forward.  Of course later on that's expected to change the more you want to explore and do.. but yea.  The combat is also fast paced, so you're not really sitting around waiting for overly long animations and shit to go through.

If you want to make it harder, you can use the Draconian Quest settings to add various restrictions and make enemies harder.  I think the harder enemies is a bit more balanced in all honesty.  It's so much better than Ni No Kuni 2 it's not even funny lol.

The characters are great so far, and the story pushes along at a good pace.  It also helps that the game is fucking gorgeous!

This very well could end up being the best RPG this gen :wow2:

Is this a turn based rpg?

Yea.  It's more of a classic JRPG.  It's turn based, but there's a camera mode which lets you actually run around the battle field.  It still works like normal, just that you can move and turn the camera if you like to pretend you're doing more than you are lmao.  In that mode, the way you run from battles is by actually running with your character to the edge of the battle area.

I'm loving it so far though.  It doesn't take itself too seriously.. and the characters are great so far.

1 million lifetime in the West around 18 months or so, when sales completely tank. Buying it tomorrow.

I think the PC version will get to 250,000 eventually.  It reviewed really well and it's got "very good" reviews on Steam, which helps.  It's a good port, and hopefully word of mouth keeps the sales consistent for a while.  I think Square Enix would be happy with anything over 200,000.

    Really interested how it's doing.

Nothing concrete yet.  SteamSpy, which is now quite inaccurate, but is still useful in reporting the absolutely minimum, shows that it's anywhere from 50,000 to 100,000 as of a day ago.  It hasn't been updated yet today.  It's still in the Steam top sellers list, which is a good sign.  Usually these games drop out quick as the regulars sweep back in.

It's actually very likely already the best selling Dragon Quest game on Steam at this point.

How do you think it's doing on PS4?

Subjectivity is based upon the credence of the opposing parties stance and them giving way to it. If I truly believe that Splinter Cell is better and I declare that it's better, I am presenting a statement that is objectively rooted unless otherwise stated. I'm not presenting it as an opinion, that is why properly applied context needs to be at the forefront of textually based discussion. Context cannot be derived from it solely with specificity, these are basic English and communication skills. You're implying that I know your context when you applied none.

Are you from Quebec or something?

I gave all the context needed in my post...  What's hilarious is that you somehow interpreted it as me dictating to you what you'd prefer to play...which isn't even what you're arguing now... lmao

You're being a bitch. (this is an objective fact) :reg:

And MGS is better than Splinter Cell.. :|

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is better than any Metal Gear Solid.

    That's not a subjective sentence.

I think Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is better than any Metal Gear Solid.

    That is a subjective sentence.

A statement is not inherently subjective.

    :snoop:

You can say Splinter Cell is better than any MGS game you want... I can't tell you no... It's completely understood that is YOUR opinion.  It's a SUBJECTIVE stance...

When I state "ugh, no fucking thanks" as a response... and then say MGS 1,2, and 3 are better... I'm CLEARLY referring to my opinion and not trying to tell you what YOUR opinion is...

You're being so fucking ridiculous :tom:

No, you leveraged two different things in your post. I don't care what you think you meant, it's how you structured your post.

You saying "Ugh...  no fucking thanks" is subjective. However following that up with "MGS 1,2, and 3 are much better" turns the latter into an objectively made followup which is argumentative.

This is why text in any form needs contextual application, a simple "For me" or "I think" takes your objectively presented post and makes it subjective. You can call me a dumbass until the cows come home and I couldn't care less, structure your posts better.

No... it's implied that I'm speaking my opinion for myself because it's inherently a subjective subject... You're just retarded man.  LMAO
