I love the new Bodycount. He's genuine.
He's going to dump Nintendo so hard again when X2 is announced

I dont know why we arguing about minisule differences. In terms of historic difference between say PS1 to N64, PS2 to XBox or how they compared to PCs of their time it was meanigful. Compare Doom SNES to PC.
Now the differences are so trivial.
There's nothing trivial about 2-3x the fps in games Aza...

Yeah, and at say 3440x1440 it would no doubt run comparably to a 980 Ti / GT even if it were pinned at Ultra settings. The game isn't as far off from those settings right now as you think it is.
Dude... you're saying that because VISUALLY you don't imagine there's much difference... the FACT is that ultra settings can often over very little visual returns for the performance impact they incur.
A SINGLE setting at Ultra on X1X could tank it's performance... and I bet if you set the 1070 to X1X settings.. the FPS will be a good bit higher.

It's no doubt very close, especially on the X/Pro, PC will look nigh identical. You're also not accounting for the resolution disparity. 3440x1440 is like 2/3 of the X's rendering resolution, if you shifted the settings to what the X is at and increased the resolution it's basically a 980 Ti / GTX 1070 sandwich.
Nah, it's not no doubt very close lol.. Using Rise as an example the difference between high and ultra visually is not immediately obvious in certain settings... but the performance impact sure is. If you ran the Xbox One X at Ultra PC settings, the GPU would massively bottleneck... you know this... I don't have to explain it to you.
And I noticed they used Driver 399.07 and not the GameReady 399.24...

The consoles aren't running at "maxed out" settings...

Tears. The iteration consoles are pulling off some impressive results compared to most PCs out there.
Care.
Worse input lag than Rise on Xbox One? LMAO that's what made me and CM give up playing the game on Xbox..
Bu but it's pretty good!

I don't care what the X or S version runs, all I care is that the Pro improvement is good over base.
PRO's resolution mode is a joke. Game looks soft as fuck.. your version sucks Aza.. and lmao input lag

60fps Mode is fail, but that was expected due to the CPU.
I don't see how ress mode isn't delivering.
Did you look at the Xbox One X version? lmao terrible dips and awful tearing... lmao tanking the fps anytime you jump into water or stress it in any way.

We're looking a 3x pixel count increase over base PS4. Don't see an issue, and in high ress mode the Pro performance is more stable than base.
I think it's a good improvement for a console thats only $100 more than base.
I think both modes fail at what they are supposed to do

We're getting to the point where owning old consoles is borderline worthless it's a Saturn or some shit.
It always was... when you own a gaming PC

Best on PC
4K 30fps Ultra with ray-tracing

PC is the only place for adult gamers... lmao consoles

PlayStation 4/Pro 458 vote(s 31.7%
Xbox One/X 112 vote(s) 7.7%
Nintendo Switch 631 vote(s) 43.6%
PC/Steam 245 vote(s 16.9%
And this is from a gaming forum, in the real world the numbers are even more skewed, as Playstation is the default HD solution for JRPGs, and Switch is the default portable/hybrid solution.
In reality those percentages are even worse since the PS4, and soon Switch have massive userbase advantages.
While what you said isn't wrong imo.. Playstation definitely IS the home of JRPGs... it's a very notably Playstation fanboy forum.. These results aren't surprising coming from there.

Oh and ouch man... both PRO and X1X versions are quite disappointing in both modes lmao. FPS modes that never reach 60... resolution modes that scale and never reach targets...

Jesus, I read someone say it was beating a 1060 but I didn't realize it was by that much.
Everything maxed... don't even pretend like the console versions are being stressed the way this is... lmao

Steamspy isn't very accurate... especially for new releases
It's selling in line with other Dragon Quest games on PC
It's a full $60 game which wasn't really marketed at all..
And this isn't coming to xbox
-
Pretty much called it... no wonder why it's being delisted
Only announced platform so far is PS4.

There's the other reality that we're also not accounting for. That being that could have just been a render for that show for some space ships like a controller that doesn't actually signify anything and was just a presentation piece.
I actually already accounted for that... lol

The sales have gotten better on consoles than what they have been in the past, close to what you can find on PC but it's still lagging behind.
It's whatever to begin with. Expecting to be this big delta is just him looking for shit to hate on. The fact is that you're not going to be seeing the best deals on everything at the same time all the time. Publishers and Developers will alternate sales across platforms.. It's stupid to expect sales to be the same across all platforms. There's so many variables which contribute to when a publisher decides to put a game on sale, and by how much... Jon after a week or two of owning a new PC isn't going to have any realistic grasp on how sales patterning works on PC vs console...
Consoles have definitely gotten better than before, as you said. Because consoles were relatively new to this shit. Digital has grown rapidly on consoles, so developers are leveraging that better. I don't think anyone's been touting how PC games are much cheaper or on sale all the time anymore like in the past. It's a well known fact that Steams sales aren't what they used to be... that's true imo. However, using various sites, searching around for good deals from reputable sellers... you can almost always find a better price than Steam.
I got Dragon Quest 11 on GreenmansGaming and it was $15 less than Steam.. You just have to look around a bit.
