Moss proved to me that 3d platformers would be perfect for VR. Hellblade proved to me that action games could be amazing in VR. Lone Echo proved to me that story driven character games could be incredible in VR. I even said in my comments about Moss, that playing a Mario game in the table-top style VR would be fucking amazing. It just adds so much to the experience. It looks like this game is exactly that.

SoT is a fine game. I played a fair share of the alphas and betas so I was a bit wore out on it by the time it actually released. I'll get back to it eventually... but other games came along and there's tons of stuff to play so... it is what it is.

I wont I play a mix depending on the race type, sometimes manual, sometimes automatic. And yes I use a wheel. All assists off feels perfect. Turn that shit off and learn to feather the brakes and accelerate properly. Your entire driving game will improve because of it

Yep. It's so fun to just drive around. The feeling of hitting a perfect corner at high speed while drifting on dirt tracks in this game just feels amazing. Also, I love the tracks with lots of elevation changes. That's what I always loved about FH3's Blizzard Mountain expansion. You had this huge mountain which was just amazing to drive down or up. I'd imagine that many of those people that Playground Games are hiring will obviously be working on the new open world RPG game, but lots of them will be working on a proper next generation Forza Horizon game. Between Turn 10 and PG, they'll have to be making all new updated versions of the car models as well as most other stuff. As nice as the car models are, they wont hold up next gen. They'll need higher poly models with more detail, better textures, and of course better material shaders.

Pro tip - use My Horizon Life to easily pick and choose the discipline you want to improve and focus on. You go to the map screen, and then press start and it will bring up all different disciplines in the game.. you click on whichever you want and it will take you back to the map and only show races/events that affect that discipline. It's so much better than fucking around in the map disabling all the icons that you don't want to see or enabling the specific ones you do want to see. Man, I hope this game does well enough across all platforms. It's looking like a huge drop off on Steam. This game really came with no marketing though, and also during a busy time of the year where there's lots of high profile games either just releasing or right around the corner. People have to be selective with what they pick up right away. The fact that it's a full priced when the original was so cheap also doesn't help it's case unfortunately. Hopefully it has long legs and we see another one next gen.

I still need to buy both Cold Steel games on Steam. They are getting an update along with the PS4 releases for the Japanese voice acting and extra dialog. Is there new content besides that? Yea. I've been racing a lot.. and also getting a fuck ton of those influence boards along the way. I'm also playing getting 90% more difficulty bonus credits depending on the race because I'm playing on the hardest driveatar difficulty and all assists off except rewind.. which I'm mostly only using for danger signs to get the best line I can.. and the odd driveatar which decides to fuck me over. I haven't noticed anything on PC. FH4 is much better than FH3 was in that regard. But some people seem to be having issues on both Xbox and PC. I think it could be connected to the way that the game transfers you into and out of online sessions. If your online and then the game loses connection or you switch sessions for whatever reason to offline.. then the world populates with driveatars and I think that's what people are mistaking for car pop-in. Yea, it was pretty much my most anticipated game since they announced it. I pretty much had Friday and Saturday set aside to play it. Sunday I wanted to play but we went and visited with family... lol. The progression in this game is just so much more in-depth than FH3. Well, the technology CAN work very well. Nvidia's Geforce Now proved that to me when I got in the beta for that. It's really VERY close to native.. assuming your connection is good. It's still a ways away from being fully adopted and "replacing" traditional native gaming. But things are in motion and these problems are being worked on by pretty much everyone. Absolutely it's better in many ways. I'm gonna do a full review for this mahfucka when I feel I've seen most of it. The Goliath race is Man... when the track editor comes... I'm gonna be making some godly shit. There's a few tracks already that I really REALLY love and I'm going to try to incorporate a few of them together into a bigger circuit That's not to say there's not some things that I wish were different, or better though.
