  1. Seems like it's doing quite well. One thing that I've noticed is that, likely thanks to the Steam Deck, the pricing of these devices has come down a ton. When it was just the Ayaneo devices and the GDP Win, prices were $1000+... Now with the Deck out, and Asus getting in the mix, you're getting much more competitive prices and the hardware is much better. Hopefully Asus really competes and does well and forces prices all around to come down.. because as the prices come down, then you're really going to see these devices take off.
  2. You can switch between WT1 and WT2 at any time. Tier 2 is what you might consider normal. It's absolutely the way you should start off because you get more experience and gold, and it's really not that much harder at all. If you have trouble with some of the bosses, then you can drop to WT1, beat the boss, then go back to WT2.
  3. Well, it's important to note that the console versions are not running anywhere close to native 4K. So running at native 4K and with ultra textures is quite a bit more demanding in every sense than what the consoles are doing. I mean, there's obvious reasons why PC games DO require more memory to be equivalent to console settings in a lot of games these days. You have games developed with console architecture in mind from the start, like the PS exclusives. PC memory setup is different with split memory pools, and those games were never designed to work in that way so it's a lot
  4. Damn. lol this game shouldn't need 16GB of VRAM to work properly
  5. I watched the video and every instance of the "vram stuttering" that he showed looked more like server related lag issues than anything else. Were you gaming at 4K?
  6. A lot of gaming studios wishes they could make a game as good as Morrowind.
  7. True. There definitely are some people hyping this up to be the second coming. It does look to be pretty epic though.. and considering the quality and caliber of games Xbox has been putting out lately, it's somewhat understandable that they're extremely hyped for it. Out of any games MS has, this is honestly the one with the best chance to do real numbers and restore some confidence. Whether it all pays off or not, we'll see I suppose. Pretty sure that's intentional. The stuff they're showing off is more important at the moment. They'll have a story trailer leading
  8. Everywhere I'm looking people just seem convinced that it's going to be amazing. That's a big difference compared to the last time it was showed off where people were still quite obviously not entirely sold on it. Obviously now it looks more polished and we know more about all the various systems within the game.. but I'm surprised at how solid the reception was to that deep dive. Without any BS console warring, how would you rate what they showed?
  9. I've went in a lot of dungeons too. My loot isn't getting much better until I change to WT3.
  10. I think we're going to see the Ally improve a lot over the course of its life. There's a ton of potential there.
  11. @Twinblade it seems like the current Ally firmware may actually be causing a performance regression, so the performance you're getting right now might not be as good as it actually is. Hopefully they get a fix out soon.
  12. Jesus lmao. What level are you? I'm 53 and I'm a bit into Act 6 now, basically been running around doing side quests because I know it's going to be the end of the game soon. I honestly should just finish it and then switch to WT3. I need better loot
  13. That's like saying who needs a Steam Deck when the Switch exists though.. There's already tons of gamers who have both PCs and consoles already and sometimes a person wants to sit at a desk and play with m/kb, and other times they just want to casually relax on the couch. A Steam based console which is actually decent could possibly make some people question why they need a PS or Xbox at all and simply go with that instead next time around, since their entire libraries would then be synced, and they'd only have to buy one version of a game. Obviously like I said, they're still a
  14. It's true. Steam Machines didn't take off because at the time Linux compatibility was complete dogshit and nobody wanted anything to do with them. The hardware also really wasn't up to the task and things just didn't materialize. Since then Valve has completely changed the game regarding those things. Compatibility is leaps and bounds better, and so is the hardware. The more successful the Steam Deck is, the more it shows other vendors that there's potential with these types of form factors. Still a ways to go though... but the market it definitely growing.
  15. Yeah, it runs well on the Deck too. 40fps locked works great.
  16. Exactly. That's what Valve realized they needed to nail to actually get the device to succeed. Basically make the PC as "console like" as possible... and they're doing a hell of a job at it really. They deserve to be commended because they're literally building a customized OS and UI as well as all the translation layers required to have a seamless experience with games that were never designed to run on it lol.
  17. Sony will have Factions and other titles. Not to mention some possibly big games which are console exclusive from 3rd parties coming up. It would be foolish to think that they wont have some major games which will be unveiled soon. MS has finally shown some games which look great... but we don't know if they'll actually end up good yet.. so they still have way more to prove at this point than Sony. Nintendo will have Pikmin 4... and that's all I really need from them currently anyway. I think they'd be smarter to hold anything else off and make the launch of the Switch 2 as c
  18. Pretty sure what he meant was that some surfaces just use SSR, but others use RT. I noticed as well that some of the reflections weren't updating at full rate... so some sacrifices are definitely being made to have RT on whatever surfaces they are on console lol.
  19. Yeah so do I. A lot of people I know love their Decks and handheld PCs and is the primary way they play games now over traditional console and PC.
  20. Yea, the fact that we have handhelds putting out visuals like that at the framerates they do is quite crazy.
  21. No that's all gameplay for Forza. Forza has RT reflections during gameplay on Series X, and RT Reflections and GI on PC.
  22. Oh my bad, I didn't even consider GT7's feelings when making that post. Sorry. I will repent!
