  1. Passed away from cancer.
  2. The date was announced way before. Bascially Callisto wanted to get out in front of this game. They also wanted to hit the holiday rush. Looks pretty good though.
  3. Ouch.. But I'm glad you've turned it into a little bit of a game in and of itself
  4. Believe me, I agree with you. I think it's completely stupid that they don't widen the DRS to keep the FPS consistent. That's the thing about it... there's no logical reason why they shouldn't do that.. So you have to ask why? I think the theory makes sense... I don't know if it's true or not, and I'm not saying it is.. but if MS has stricter policies on their own store about what constitutes eligibility for that tag, then I could see developers not giving a shit about the framerate and only allowing a smaller DRS window. It's not even just SOME developers doing tha
  5. Our area just recently got gigabit internet. Was at 300 Mbps download before and 25 Mbps upload. Still it's hilarious how Canada has completely terrible competition and so you pay out the ass for speeds like this.... and STILL get pathetic upload speeds. Most Gigabit plans you see from other areas/countries have essentially 950 download AND upload. We DO have 950 down and up, but only for specific areas currently. But we all know that's BS and that they could be offering much higher upload speeds than they are. Oh well, it's plenty for us. There's no data caps eith
  6. Xbox again has a higher resolution, and some larger drops. Someone said that developers do this on Xbox so they can meet the "4K resoultion store tag" requirement, so that when people search for 4K on the Xbox store, their game will appear in the results.
  7. You can... if you turn some settings down like I said
  8. WAY more limited. I'm not lying when I'm saying this game is a straight line. At least up to what I've played at this point. It gives you the ILLUSION of branching... but they're very short lived. It'll never let you get too far out one way, before it shows you that you need that thing from the other place that you could have went.. and then you go there, get that, and then go right back. The level design just isn't good at all, really. There's so much damn vent crawling.. it pisses me off. I don't know what they were thinking.. and it's not really scary at all. There's not
  9. What the fuck is with all the shimmying and crawling through vents in The Callisto Protocol? Jesus fucking christ literally one area was 5min straight of those god damn things I'll be honest about this game. I love so much of it... but the level design is linear as fuck. You don't have any real areas to go around and explore off the beaten path... and as you progress, you get artificially locked out from backtracking or exploring. It's literally a straight line through this game. Game looks awesome at times... and just ok in others. You can tell where the budgets
  10. Exactly. Although it's cringe 90% of the time, it's still far better than the stale ass formula of the Direct style shows. Those are fine in between big industry events.. but they shouldn't be the main focus IMO.
  11. It's going to say a lot about the industry depending on how they vote for each of the categories that both Elden Ring and God of War are in
  12. I'm excited for it. Geoff is starting the hype machine now lol I think the industry would be really boring if these types of shows went away. There's got to be some big events where the entire industry can get together and have some fun. Directs and Showcases don't hit nearly the same.
  13. Stop talking to me. You're out of your league in this discussion. You're ignorant and stupid as fuck, and I'm not going to argue any further with someone who can't even understand enough to know when they're wrong.
  14. It's not amazing I never go into any detail... I don't because I know you wont understand it, and going any further is a waste of time.. because it's you and me arguing here... You'd NEVER admit you're wrong about anything. And Jerky... I KNOW by how you've responded to me thus far... that you wouldn't understand it anyway. You have literally NO understanding of this subject, at all, and it's IMMEDIATELY apparent to me. And LOL... you're accusing me of not posting any customized explanation... when that's exactly what I have been doing... while YOU are the one relying
  15. No, I'm not using the Steam Deck as an example... idiot. I'm showing you that I've already talked about shit like that... before... on this forum, in that very thread. You said I never have... I know what DXIL is, and binary and machine code... I know what PSO caches are, and what shader compilation actually is. You don't know SHIT... and you're proving it EVERY SINGLE FUCKING STEP OF THE WAY to me. You're not even smart enough regarding this subject to speak about anything... you continually try to reference the same forum post which doesn't contest what I'm saying... telling
  16. LOL you're an idiot. And no, I told that that his entire post, had nothing to do or contradict, what I'm saying here. But YOU thought it did... because you don't know shit
  17. Look at him... Again, you're an idiot... They don't need to create PSO caches for every spec variation... jesus fucking christ. They gather the PSO data by playing the game ON ANY PC... and the game logs which PSOs are required for which shaders so they can be compiled... That SHADER PRECOMPILATION... happens on YOUR OWN PC... FOR YOUR OWN SPECIFIC HARDWARE VARIATION You don't even know what the difference between PSO cache, and shader caches are LOL.. and I knew that instantly... when you posted a post from some forum user talking about DXIL intermediate represe
  18. Yeah, it does. I just finished testing it. It's a million times better than it was before however. Like I said... they're going to have a bunch of people going through the game and they will be logging all the PSO data the shaders in the game require. Then they'll reintegrate it into the build, and push it out..allowing the game to pre-compile them ahead of time. Generating that PSO cache, and rebuilding is something a LOT of developers either forget to do, or didn't realize they had to do in the first place. Unreal Engine (stupidly) doesn't have the greatest documentation reg
  19. Really? No way! Jerky said it was impossible for them to do what I said before. Wow, look at that, they decided to pre-compile them upon load and in the main menu.... where did I hear that before??? Hmmm.... LOL I've called out every exact fucking step that has happened.... almost like I know what I'm talking about And let me tell you exactly what "further optimizations in the days ahead" means right now.... They have a group of people furiously playing through the entire game multiple times, building a complete PS
  20. Oh he sounded much more knowledgeable than me... because he's not talking to a specific fucking idiot like I am. I've no interest in getting technical with you when it's obvious to anyone that you'll never accept when your wrong.
  21. There's nothing to debunk idiot There's nothing in that post that contests with what I'm saying. He's talking about the developers precompiling the shaders and shipping them in the game package.... I'm talking about collecting the PSO data... so that WE can pre-compile them on our computers before we have to play the game first. Look how fucking stupid you are not to be able to understand that
  22. A mistake was made Yea, I know Glen... you guys forgot to reintegrate the PSO data back into the new build... just like those Sackboy developers
