  1. Seems like it did about as well as the first one Considering that, as you said, it's also on GamePass (I don't know if Innocence was on GP at its launch) it seems like it did a bit better than the original. It's got around 2000 reviews already... which if you multiply by 70 (rule of thumb 1 review for each 70 sales) it comes out to ~140K sales thus far.. which probably isn't too bad for them... considering how busy this period is right now.
  2. No, the expectations wont be high because of a drought of games from MS... they will be high because by then Sony will have started their ACTUAL next gen output... Once Spider-Man 2 hits... which I'm going to consider Sony's first true next gen game... it's going to make most of these games look positively last gen... I think Spider-Man 2 is going to blow away everything else when it releases. The only studio I can see from MS coming anywhere close is The Coalition. I'm sure Fable will look nice, and Hellblade 2 will look amazing, but it will still be a sma
  3. Yeah exactly. The next gen Switch will have a much faster, more performant CPU, so this won't even be an issue. Pretty sure it will also have a large capacity NVMe drive. Hell it could even have it's own decompression block like the current gen consoles.. alleviating the CPU of that aspect altogether.
  4. Yea, I saw the DF video about it. It seems they changed up the art style a bit to allow them more processing power to change how they present the game. Some of the cutbacks are very obvious. It's unfortunate because the original is seriously one slick looking game. To me that game (and Luigi's Mansion) fit right along with any other PS4/XO games of the generation. Hell, even current gen games. It looks great. But the lack of detail in the sequel's environments is dissapointing. It still looks good, and the characters are great, but some detail is missing
  5. A friend of mine who has been playing Xenoblade 3 since day 1.... just finished it last week lol. He loves it.
  6. Yea, they've been doing a lot of backend improvements to the client, and the SteamOS UI is coming to desktop as well, so that will even make the client more console friendly for people who like that kind of thing. The new cards are indeed really powerful. Now, as you say, even the low to mid range GPUs are essentially next gen console level. So there's lots of power there. And DirectStorage 1.1 will be released by the end of this year, so that will make another big impact on what devs can use. Honestly I think for you, having a PC or Laptop for work, but that you can
  7. Honestly, I was thinking at work earlier last week... it's pretty sad that we're 2 years into the gen and none of these games are out yet: Forza Motorsport Hellblade 2 Perfect Dark Fable No Starfield yet either It's been a fucking wasteland... No games using mesh shaders, or sampler feedback streaming... No Xbox games with sick ray tracing features... No Minecraft RT for Xbox yet... shit was cancelled.. Like jesus christ... What's going on with The Coalition's game? Let's see it. How about new things?
  8. Yea, I just can't believe it. What a cunt. All she did was toss any chance at her having a future career in VA in the garbage... and not only did she do that, but she also set back VAs who have legitimate complaints and issues with treatment... Like don't get me wrong... she's well within her right to demand more money, and PG is well within their right to tell her hell no. But to come out, just before the game launches and blatantly lie and misrepresent what happened, just to get people to boycott the game... what a nasty bitch. PG REALLY wanted her to r
  9. Yeah, Steam somehow continues to grow. The best gaming platform and store to ever exist.
  10. Which is why I said the ones that came before. Anyone can say what they want about it now, but let's not act like Halo has always been shit. Halo was as much of a cultural phenomenon as any game ever.. It deserves its respect for what it was.
  11. Spoilers are out in the wild now... take caution brehs..
  12. This bitch outright lied, and now she's trying to defend herself and throwing out completely different figures than she said before.. She's completely ruined her reputation, just so she could get back and Platinum for not giving her what she wanted.. which would have been an unreasonable amount of money.
  13. Awesome! Yea I heard some other people basically get their orders in right away and still haven't gotten theirs either from the various outlets. Retailers probably had taken more orders than they have stock and it's taken some time to get them in. Good shit though. They're massive, but they're completely silent... at least in comparison to past cards I've had. Temps are so low too. I can't seem to push this though out of the 50-60'C range no matter what game I try and what res/settings. I'm really impressed with it.
  14. Switch's main loading issue isn't the storage speed, it's the CPU. The Switch uses the same eMMC type storage as the lowest end Steam Deck SKU.. and that can load way faster than Switch. The biggest contributing factor of a new Switch improving load times would be the much faster CPU.. as then it would also have the speed to read/decompress off storage/carts, and even faster NVMe SSDs.
  15. I remember! Yall fuckers these days never showing respect to the titans that came before
  16. Yea, it still looks really good. Really the only things that bring it down are the somewhat flat lighting at times, as well as some flat surface textures. If they had tessellation on everything and more geometry, it would look even more current. The character models are still great. The PC version actually doesn't have the LOD distance of the PS5 version, so there's some scenes which don't have quite as much foliage as the PS5 version and some other minor objects which aren't as detailed as far out. That's pretty much the only blemish for me on this port. They could have, and
  17. This is an actual 8K card. So many games run at 8K 60fps+ on this thing.. 8K 30 is easy. It's absolutely insane. Another thing is that the cooling on these cards is completely overengineered. My temps literally never leave the 50s usually settling around the middle with the card completely maxed out It's not the most demanding game, but Uncharted 4 running at 52fps @ Ultra settings, 7680x3200 (7K ultrawide) 100% GPU utilization ~3Ghz clocks using 14GB VRAM and ~370w power draw..... at 54-55'C... It never goes above that and I don't even hear the GPU
  18. Yea, they've currently only implemented it just for individual games though. And yea it's a lot better than the Steam Big Picture bullshit configurator tools. Not only is it much better, but much more responsive as well. And it's super smooth. When they finally bring the SteamOS UI to Desktop, it's going to be really good.. you can already tell.
  19. Awesome to see devs outright advertising their games for it. I honestly didn't think we'd see as many devs doing it as there are.. but it's a good sign.
  20. Yea, I'm blown away by how much better it is now. Yea of course the Deck shines the most portably, but being able to just dock it to the TV for some big screen comfy couch gaming is good too.
  21. Well, it's not going to replace a PC... Just docking it in the living room for some couch gaming every once in a while. I just played the madagascar/clock tower/bike chase chapters in UC4 on the Deck and it's just insane that it's running on that small device. It felt just like I was playing it on an original PS4.
  22. Sounds like some Kerbullshit I'm not interested in
  23. @sugarhigh @TLHBO @Cooke Man, I just connected my Deck to my TV after the latest beta preview update and my lord it's so much better now. The UI runs so much smoother and everything is way more responsive. If you guys haven't checked it out or updated, you should. Now that the Dock is out there, you can tell they're putting in a lot of effort now to improve that experience. It's insane how much better this device is now than it even was at launch.
