  1. Eh, Ghost of Tsushima is one of their highest CCU performing games and it had the requirement... and that's a primarily SP game. This games failure has nothing to do with PSN being a requirement (which is typical with MP games) it's simply because of what it is, and how it's been marketed. PC gamers have had their fill of this type of game, or this type of style of game. There's free to play games which scratch and have scratched this itch for a while. It's a tough market out there lol.
  2. SH2 was a stunning looking game for its time too. The fog effects and film grain allowed them to take strong advantage of the PS2's crazy fill rate while also reducing the amount of geometry they needed to draw in the distance, allowing them to push character models and detail quite high. Textures also looked more detailed at times than they actually were because of the film grain. Was a smartly developed game for sure. And yea, SH3 pushed things up a notch. Especially the character models. They went to town on that one (lol the pun )
  3. Damn, I almost feel kind of sorry for them. I don't want any game to fail. I was expecting something around 20-30K for this, which would have still been a massive failure, but this is just crazy low.
  4. MS apparently has no strategy. It's throwing shit to the wall and seeing what sticks, and Phil trots out and tries to smooth things over every time they contradict themselves and do something they say they wouldn't. It's completely understandable that their core fanbase has lost faith in them, and him specifically.. They've done everything to squander every chance they get to change their fortunes. The fanbase is running out of excuses when confronted by other players, and now they're starting to push back on MS because it's simply undeniable now that MS' focus has changed. I sa
  5. That's good to hear. Like Cyberpunk 2077 it's clear the PC version was the focus for this studio. I think I might grab it either today or tomorrow. According to the .exe properties it uses UE5.0 and not one of the newer revisions.. though that's just based off the meta data which may or may not represent which version the game actually uses.. so if that's actually the case, then there's room for major improvements yet. I think UE5.4 games and on should be pretty good on PC with regards to stuttering and shit like that.

  7. Well yeah, I already said that. Sony has more of a presence than MS however.. and like I said, thet have the Hero Project initiative which is specifically meant to build their presence.
  8. I think more than anything, it's because Xbox has no presence in China, and there's literally no reason for them to focus on it at all at the moment. Release the versions which will actually sell, then do Xbox later. I say that because its clear the devs were not holding the game back because of Xbox.. its simply not a priority for them. But yes, Series S will be a shitshow with this game for sure.
  9. 2.4M peak CCUs on Steam alone.. plus you have WeGame, which is likely around 200-300K, which leaves around 300-500K on PS5, which is actually insanely impressive. Sony is looking to expand and grow there with their Hero Project initiatives... this wasn't a part of that, but it's going to help them grow none the less, considering there's no other console versions.

  11. It's got its issues, but it's still a good game. I wish it would have had a chance to improve with a sequel, because there's a lot of potential with it. At least we got this awesome theme song out of it
  12. Yes, I'm quite liking everything I'm seeing recently of this game. Will be incredible if Bloober pulls this off.

Man, the comparison of the initial fight sequence where you're fighting in the clouds with the volumetric particles whirling around everywhere looks phenomenal on PC, on PS5 it's massively downgraded and doesn't have nearly the same effect IMO. Still cool on PS5 tho, but definitely a huge step down.
  14. Nah. The Switch 2 will be plenty powerful enough for MS' games. Switch will be important to gain a stronger presence in the Japanese market.
  15. Yea, essentially whatever works for them to give enough value to GamePass, while at the same time allowing the marketing and hype cycles to drive sales on other platforms as well.

Phil should just commit to every game going forward to be also on PS and Nintendo consoles, and simply stipulate that some games may have a slight exclusivity window of 3-6 months to push Gamepass. Just get that part over with, set the expectation for your console fanbase so they can stop making themselves look retarded every time they have a glimmer of hope that a game will remain exclusive lol.

  22. The power of the Chinese market. Were looking at at least 5M sales on Steam alone already potentially on day 1.. and that's not even considering WeGame, which is also distributing the game in China on PC.
