I'm sure Insomniac are aware of the perception of "reskinning Spider-Man" and will have it's own style of play and feel. At least I'd hope so. But you're right, Insomniac really do need a break from the super hero stuff and get back to making new IP/bringing back their old IPs. Unfortunately we know most of their plan already and unless things have changed.. it's Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Ratchet for the next 4+ years lol

Well with PC there's more things to consider when implementing it. You have all these overlays and shit and weird non divisible refresh-rates like 144, and 175.. and frame caps and so on that there's bound to be some mismatch happening somewhere that fucks with it. Funny though that DLSS FG would have issues with Nvidia's GFE. I don't use Nvidia's recording feature anymore anyway. Despite only capturing at 1080p, Even though it has its issues I love Steam's new game recording feature.

Why are they tripling the framerate with FG on PS5 vs only doubling it on XSX with FG? I can't imagine 1 native frame and 2 generated frames feels very good to play. Do they do input lag testing? Sorry, I don't have time to watch the whole thing.. that's why I'm asking. Looks like it runs like shit on all consoles tho

Yeah but if he's asking the question it's likely that he's interested in trying it at the very least... and there's very few D&D games better than BG3. Meanwhile there are plenty of Action RPGs better than DD2 overall. Both great games though Mala. I'd personally pick BG3.

That doesn't matter. PC gets tons of games that aren't on Swith too. And nah, that's not the whole point of PC.. its part of it. The other parts include mods, backwards compatibility, shopping where you want, being able to tune games to your preference/hardware, controller customization, multitasking, and so on. The PC.. and by extension, the Steam and Steam Deck community are undoubtedly the top gaming community out there. I could list tons of reasons, but will have to wait until I'm not at work lol

Because on a small screen low settings can still look damn good. I mean you play Switch.. handhelds have different expectations. Why wouldn't someone want to play their PC library portably instead of buying a "console handheld"? And you don't need to play everything on low settings on these devices. You can easily do medium/high in most games outside of the latest ones.
