The PS5 version drops harder in the later sections of the game... that's been confirmed by many people. It goes under 40fps regularly, and loses VRR since its range is pathetic... so it's definitely worse. Meanwhile the Xbox version holds up within its VRR range, and that's understandably why DF as a whole, prefers the Xbox version. PC version is better than both now regardless. 60fps locked and only slight stutters now when travelling from one area to the next. The shader comp stutters have been fixed with the patches. Sucks it released in that state, but it be what it do.

Surprised it supports ultrawide natively. Always nice to see. This game can look so pretty and atmospheric at times. They really nailed the mannerisms. I laughed when you get the backpack and the cat automatically squats down. So cute. It's criminal that this game doesn't have a photo mode included. I want to take pictures of everything! Gonna see if anyone has made any freecam hacks to take better pictures.

Yea, probably the intro part is free, and then they allow you to unlock the rest of the game if you purchase it. It's basically what a lot episodic games do. You download the whole damn thing, play the trial section, and then it prompts you for a purchase. It stays in your account because they technically gave you the first part free. When the game first launched they released the demo and it actually granted access to the full game.. then they removed it. Presumably they fixed it, and now it's back.
