What I know is that it doesn't matter if you can't produce enough to satisfy demand and your competitor is outselling you because of it. MS can continue to buy foundry capacity by outbidding Sony and they can use extra chips for Gamepass servers. They can ensure the shelves are stocked and wait as people slowly cave in and buy Xboxes because they can't find a PS5. The more people do that the more chance there is that they also sign up for a Gamepass sub.
