Nah. A FROMSOFT open-world Souls game was NEVER going to have map markers and quest update logs and shit like that. Elden Ring... is Dark Souls in an open world. That's it. So DirectStorage must be ready to leave developer preview then, considering that the game releases in May. That's actually earlier than I expected, and I figured that one of MS' own games would be the first to utilize it. FROM is easily the best dev (for me personally) in the last decade.. despite the fact that they are still mostly iterating on the same formula. But cmon... the best developer ever?
