Here's the situation Gouku... Both consoles drop FPS. Only one console has the technology to smooth out those drops, to where they are nigh imperceptible... And that's not the PS5 in this case.

Yes.. for the most part the game is the same... but when you stress the engine... VRR cruicially masks the Series X drops... For the most part you'll be seeing a 60fps update on both machines - and crucially, Xbox Series X's VRR support does a phenomenal job of masking the performance drops the console does have. A phenomenal job might I add... The PS5 version... not so much

No, you're wrong. And Digital Foundry confirmed it. PS5 the drops are NOTICEABLE... on Series X with VRR... they aren't as noticeable. And the FPS in CP2077 aren't moving up and down wildly.. they're slowly going up and down. You don't move or turn quick enough in that game to have massive fluctuations in a split second to affect the OLED's shitty VRR window. It's genuinely better all around.. because MOST of the time it's 60 on both... and in the outlier cases... the Series X drops are less noticeable with VRR.

On a graph... not in reality. Where the PS5 drops frames... it's MORE noticeable.. than when the Series X drops frames... because of VRR. And it has higher image quality throughout...

You're right.. it's not. On PS5. On Series X they say that it maintains it's smoothness due to the VRR.

Not really... The Series X maintains a higher image quality... and the VRR masks the dips. Meanwhile on PS5... even though it's ~5-10 fps faster at any given moment in those stress situations, the VRR smooths that out on Series X... yet you'll still feel those dips on PS5.
