Are your frames too high and over the refresh rate of the monitor? If so, then you'll be engaging Vsync and you can have tearing. So far it's typical JRPG stuff. It touches on topics like slavery and not losing the will to fight against oppression. I'm enjoying it though. I like the characters a lot so far. There's also lots of inter-character banter and stuff like that. You can press RB or R1 and watch little comic book-type cutscenes at various points throughout while exploring which give more details into the characters and their backgrounds and the lore of the game's world. They are all voice acted and skippable too. Unfortunately not ALL the game dialog is voiced. Most of the NPCs don't have voice
