Having the standard download be "medium or high textures" and prompting you if you want to download the highest Ultra resolution textures or not, would go a long way.

Their goal is to try to have all the reservations converted into orders by launch... ie making the amount of units for launch that they need... but they can't guarantee it, which is why they're putting out estimates like that.
