He's trying to reset to his previous talking point..............THAT HE ALREADY LOST :drake:

The game is redeemed on Steam...............you want information about the game, you go to its actual game page on Steam.

You've already lost this talking point, and you know it

Yup............Region isn't lying about your residence.

So a guy from Estonia can select the closest PSN store in their "region"

And read the final line, the false information would have been for a "purpose that violates this agreement"..................they are talking about breaking the Usage or Behavioral Terms of the agreement.

if you USED false information to do something that violates the agreement, you can be banned. it, in of itself, is not the grounds for being banned.

I love how I have to read your own post to you...........for you to LOSE your own talking point

...............see Bloodborne PC port!!!!!!..............wave bye-bye to Bloodborne PC port!!!! BYE-BYE :blessed:

And congratulations, you don't have to enter the specific country you reside in, because PSN didn't ask you for that specifically, and therefore you ARE NOT LYING about anything that would get you banned.

All because we keep reminding him that PC gatekeeping and grandstanding that I've been making fun of to his face for the past 4 years is actually going to be responsible for LOSING HIS BLOODBORNE PORT

    :tom::tom::tom::tom:

Nope, its in the product description on their steam page. Proof of that has already been posted on neogaf and other forums.

Oh man.............you're just getting caught LYING and spreading fake news all over.

.................say goodbye to that Bloodborne port!:situation:

Again moron.. you can buy the game directly from other stores and never EVER see that page :lemming:

And that doesn't even address the fact that Sony officially was selling the game in regions which couldn't create an account without breaking their own TOS..

LMFAO Bye Bloodborne.. nobody gives a shit :mj:

It doesn't matter, you redeem it ON STEAM............the requirements are listed ON STEAM

Thanks for confirming that the developer did PROPERLY PUT A NOTICE ON THERE that PSN login was going to be required.

You've lost this argument.............you had to go and find a specific webpage OUTSIDE of steam to try and peddle something that isn't true.

You got caught intentionally being misleading.

    No it isn't

    Here's their TOS page..............go find it: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/legal/psn-terms-of-service/

Go find every instance of the word "country", and you will find the specific phrase "country you registered to" (which means that there was no asking of what your country of residence truly is), and you will find the phrases "country or region" or "country/area"..........which specifically means that you don't have to select a country in which you reside in but rather one in YOUR REGION, or YOUR AREA

And go to their account creation page and go make another PSN account, no where does it ask for your actual residence address. Or even a correct city, or even a province, or postal code.

You should already know because you made another one for your PS5 :drake:

In other words.............steam fanboys and lemmings-hiding-behind-PC fanboys like yourself are intentionally lying and spreading fake news.

Say goodbye on any chance of a Bloodborne port, now :lawl:

Idiot... you buy the game and redeem the game... before seeing it's PSN requirement :lemming:

OMFG make it make sense :cruise:

Sony fucked up so badly LOL.  Take your Bloodborne port and fuck off

You will be waiting another 10 years for that Bloodborne port because you Karen crying hermits couldn’t take 3 minutes to create a burner account for PSN, keep coping :cruise:

:hest: The whole fiasco is retarded. I understand if gamers in  countries like Tajikistan are mad that they may be potentially locked out of a game they bought thanks to PSN shenanigans (unlikely but still possible) but the majority of the weirdos crying and using this situation to grandstand on actually live in countries with PSN support. The whole thing has blown up way more than it needs to with retards creating bots to spam #FreeHelldivers in EVO streams and crying about taking Sony to court even though they aren’t personally affected by it.

:mj: No company looking at these nerds having total meltdowns is going to start thinking about how to speed up ports to them. If anything it’s going to slow down future ports or any PSN integration in the future.

You simply can't admit Sony fucked up by selling the game in regions where PSN does not officially exist.. and offering those players no official means with which to play the game after the requirement goes into effect...  :cruise:

Make it make sense moron :mj:

    No.............it isn't against their TOS

and guess what..............go create an account right now on PSN..........they don't ask for your residence address, at all.

You select country, and the sentence asking for you selection says "country or region".

You don't have to enter any province or postal code.

And you don't even have to enter an ACCURATE CITY NAME, you could literally type gibbersh in there, and it will let you continue onto the next page. It does no vetting whatsoever.

Sony is going to cancel their PC plans...............all because grandstanding steam fanboys wanted to spread massively fake news to make themselves look like noble heroes

:tom:this is so amazingly on-brand for the state of PC gaming

Say goodbye to that Bloodborne port.

The game wasn't just sold on Steam dipshit.. it was also sold on official stores and directly through Sony... without listing it as a requirement.  They also :tom: circumvented their own requirements :tom:  to sell the same in all these regions.

Yes, using false info IS against their TOS dipshit.  LMFAO.  We know Sony hasn't enforced it... because then their active monthly accounts would drop horribly :tom:  But that doesn't mean that they couldn't in the future.  This dude is literally claiming shit that you CAN do... ie lying... just like you can lie with an age restriction asking for your birthday :drake:   That's not for you... that's for them so they are legally covered.  Sony ABSOLUTELY assumes you are entering honest information.. and they have rules against it that CAN be enforced.. which is the issue.

And LOL, this pathetic "bubu say goodbye to ports" hopium from these absolute console losers.... just take your games and fuck off then  :hest:

Steam fanboys were  basically lying and spreading fake news that you couldn't sign up for PSN, or that you would get banned.

.........for something nobody has ever gotten banned for.

The TOS does not list anything that indicates they would get banned for creating a PSN account and lying about the country you select.

You sound like a retard. That statement of “going to their house…” was made by Shawn Layden who no longer works at Sony :cruise:

This isn’t a power struggle. It’s a money thing and PC frankly doesn’t make enough money for them to be dependent on it. You’re a fucking imbecile if you truly believe that few millions their single player games they sell on PC is what they depend on when they literally bring in billions from third party games on the PS store.

:sabu: They don’t depend on PC like struggling Shitbox, they want PC gamers’ money but they are in no way in need of PC gamers’ money especially if the PC gamers are threatening to sue them and refunding their games at an alarming rate. With HFW, TLOU pt. 1, R&C flopping on PC and now Helldivers 2 being the worst rated paid game on Steam, you really think they will be itching to bring their games to PC?  No playerbase is worth that kind of hassle especially when the money they bring in from PC is totally dwarfed by the money they bring in from their own consoles. You neckbeard hermits aren’t nearly as important as you think you are lol.

^ It was made by the people who made the decision to go to PC... that is NOT changing.  Jim Ryan followed it, and so will this new guy, who's even more intent on expanding Sony beyond the console :tom:

Quite frankly.. you're simply wrong.  They ARE dependent on this kind of growth.  You keep thinking Sony has the ability to just scale back and things will be ok.... no sweetie.. the people who fund Sony demand more.. lmfao.

LMAO it just shows how idiotic your fanboyism is for Sony.  Sony will correct THEIR mistakes... this has nothing to do with PC gamers being whiny retard.  Sony's going to learn that you ain't coming on another platform and doing whatever the fuck you want by selling games with requirements that people literally can't fulfill :drake:

And dude... you're quickly going to learn that Sony are the unimportant ones in this equation... they have no ground to stand on.  Either do the right thing and fix your mistake, or fuck off :cruise:

  9. Yea, now that we have a clear picture that this issue isn't about no damn account linking and is because Sony and Arrowhead truly fucked up here by selling this game in regions where PSN isn't legally supported.  I understand completely why people are pissed off and this game is getting tanked.

They sold the game for months in countries knowing that PSN wasn't available there.  They literally circumvented their own requirements knowing that PSN was supposed to be required since day 1... and yet Sony kept selling the game in countries where there exists no PSN without breaking their own TOS..

It's ridiculous to think that people should make accounts breaking Sony's own TOS, so they can play a game Sony is selling to them.  So there's no defending that at all.  This isn't crybaby PC gamers whining about making an account... this is Sony and Arrowhead fucking up and screwing themselves.

Game has dropped from the top 5 to 18th on the Steam global charts now.  Whether Sony will be able to correct this and make it up to the people affected remains to be seen.  Probably wont hear anything until tomorrow morning.. but man... what a fucking fumble :tom:

:cruise: I'm talking about their future plans idiot, not their current plan right now. It's too late to reverse course on releasing GAAS games day and date to PC but it's definitely not too late to rethink the rollout of a PC launcher plans or PSN integration.

:tom5: Sony are not in a desperate situation like MS. That's just Copium from you retard lems because MS is in a world of shit and you guys want Sony to be in there with them too. They are printing money off the PS5, just the royalties they get from games like COD and Fortnite is enough to sustain them indefinitely. Most of their money isn't even made from their own games, it's made from selling other people's games on the PS Store. Margins from their own games are shrinking but the free money they get from third party games keeps rolling in and with MS about to vacate the console space, they are going to have even more money coming in from Xbox refugees.

PC retards definitely need to watch it. Yea, Sony is greedy but that greed only lasts as long as they are making money. If these retards start pushing back to the point it hurts Sony's money it will definitely make Sony rethink future PC integration strategies or at the very least cause delays in implementation. You can't be saying you want Sony to go day and date on your platform and then the next day start boycotting their games. Only a retard could think this kind of strategy can work in their favor.

:tom:  dude... get real..  There's one side who already admitted "going to their house because they wont come to ours"...  Sony has NO power and NO sway over the PC player base.  They either accept it, or they fuck off... and PC gamers have no problem telling Sony to fuck off.

Except... Sony wont... because they're DEPENDENT on PC for future growth prospects... and they've seen the potential already.

Sony will learn a lesson that they can't allow people to buy a game for months, and then suddenly change something, making it no longer accessible to a large audience due to something which would violate their own TOS... especially on a fanbase that has no dependency on them.  They have no hold on the platform.  But that doesn't change the fact that they will need to be there if they want growth for the future.  Their strategy will change in that they will make sure not to make the same stupid mistake again and allow a game to run for months without requiring the PSN log-in and then change it after the fact.  And no... Sony's salvation isn't Xbox refugees

Sony has been successful for eons without PC gamers and they'll continue to be successful without PC gamers if they choose to do so.

Their PC move is just greed, plain and simple. They aren't in a desperate situation like MS is where they need to port their games to PC to stay alive. If you look at the split in revenue between their console and PC initiatives, PC revenue is a drop in the bucket. They are trying to improve their margins and increase profit like every other greedy corporation. If games are costing too much they can always lower the number of AAA games they release in a year and coast with third party partnerships like they've done this year. Arrowhead is good but they are nothing without the IP, they need Sony just as much as Sony needs them to make a successful IP.

Sony is definitely going to rethink their PC plans if they start losing money considerably because of a simple thing like email accounts. These companies assess risks. They aren't going to take a chance on a fanbase or a platform that they think is risky or can blow up in their face at anytime. Like I said, this doesn't affect their GAAS plans but anyone that is thinking this has zero effect on their future PC plans is just lying to themselves. This will definitely slow down any attempt to bring a PS launcher to PC or PSN integration.

PC gamers shouldn't think they are dealing with a desperate company like MS. Sony is nowhere near desperate to sell their games on PC. They want to sell their games on PC but they don't need to sell them on PC to survive like MS does with XBox games. PC weirdos using this as a rally cry to fight against the "evil corporation" better not overplay their hand. I can understand people in regions without PSN support being worried that Sony's TOS may lock them out of games but this is no reason to review bomb to hell a fantastic game like Helldivers 2 that has done everything up to this point right. They may be hurting Sony and the devs when Steam grants refunds but they are also hurting themselves.

They've been successful sure... but their margins are razor thin these days.  They actually ARE in a desperate situation, because the cost of development and expectations for their games isn't going to stop.  It takes 5-6 years for most of these games at least.. and it's getting harder and harder for them to satisfy their fanbase.  You thinking that they can just lower the number of games they make... and coast... is exactly why they're desperate..  Because they can't just do that.

Arrowhead have proven they can make great games.  Sony doesn't own them (yet).. and I'm sure there are other publishers that would love to work with Arrowhead Studios on a new game that just evolves this idea and calls it something else lmao.   Not saying any of that is going to happen.. but the reality is that these are the guys that built Sony their first GaaS hit.. and it's a massive one, and Sony are fucking it up.

Again, you're purely on hopium that Sony would change all their plans because of this.  You're even contradicting yourself.  You say "Sony aren't going to take a chance on a fanbase or platform that they think is risky.." and then literally right after "This doesn't affect their GaaS plans.."  lmao.  This is a GaaS game.. if it's going to affect ANYTHING it's going to be their GaaS game plan...  Sony are NOT going to slow down bringing a PS launcher and PSN integration.  It's already here ffs...  Their games will include it and they will continue to make them.  I mean shit... look at how badly some of their games were selling on PC before.. and you had people like you saying "ohhh Sony's going to pull out of PC gaming"... and then the SP games kept coming and coming and Sony announced plans to speed it up :drake:

This lesson simply shows Sony who they are dealing with, and that they can't sell games on PC in regions which don't support PSN and then make it mandatory without getting massive backlash.

This ALSO just goes to show you that PC gamers don't give a single fuck about whether Sony is desperate or not.. if they do some dumb shit the community doesn't like, they're going to pay a price.  PC gamers don't give a fuck about Sony being on the platform or not.  These are simply just more games to them.. they aren't the reason why they own the platform... unlike Playstation consoles.

And dude, be honest... if this was an Xbox game, your attitude would be COMPLETELY different about this :D

  12. 1 hour ago, FIREPOWER said:

Not like the devs can do shit about it, Sony owns the IP :diddy:

Like I said, Sony will probably cave and change their TOS and PSN requirement by Monday. Everyone will forget this bullshit and shit will go back to business as usual.

The problem is, I don't think Sony themselves will forget this fiasco. If anything, it's going to make them more cautious going forward with their PC initiative. The only thing this hurts at the end of the day is people that are hoping that Sony brings all their games day and date to PC. I still see Sony launching their GAAS games day and date moving forward but I imagine any forces that are within Sony that are pushing for the quicker release of their SP games to PC have been shut up by this fiasco and overreaction by weirdo hermits. I can understand people in regions in the world that don't have access to PSN getting mad but let's be honest most of the most vocal and angry people don't live in any of those countries lol.

This IP isn't shit without the developer and PC gamers, lets be honest.

Sony aren't going to do anything regarding their PC initiative.  You guys don't seem to understand who has all the power here.  Sony are the ones who absolutely need PC for growth potential.  That's just a simple fact.  Sony is NOT going to change their plans for growth because of this.  They're also not stupid in the fact that they know it's because they're doing this months after the game released.  This isn't an issue because it's just asking for an account..  it's an issue because they're making it a requirement in regions where, by their own TOS, people can't make accounts.

PC gamers are crybabies about this for sure... at least the ones who could easily make an account but just want to complain... but for many others there's a legitimate issue here and Sony fucked up.  They're getting called out about it on twitter by other people in the industry as well.

This whole "sony's going to rethink their PC plans" shit is just hopium from PS fanboys :D   If anything, this just goes to show you that Sony has BIGGER plans for PC than just "making some extra income"... because if it was just about that... they wouldn't push for this so hard.

  13. This is the biggest unforced fuck up in recent times :tom:

Like I said, they should have been well advised that you can't just change shit after the fact and expect it to go down smoothly.  If it would have been like this from the start, nobody would have said shit.  Problem is they knowingly sold the game in regions where it was impossible for people to make PSN accounts without breaking their TOS.. lmao.

Now they've officially stopped selling the game in those regions, although I'm not sure if that was Sony's decision specifically, or whether Valve stepped in themselves.

The should have just cut their losses for this specific game and just made it a requirement going forward.  The devs are probably totally pissed with Sony right now :smilecry:

  14. Kendrick dropped another one :D  Haven't listened yet tho.

edit: Ok I listened to it.. and I think it's trash.  Terrible beat and just saying the same shit with that annoying ass voice he does a lot. :shake:

  15. lol ok so I listened to both of these new tracks.. and that shit is crazy :D

If Drake actually has another child and Kendrick comes with the receipts... I mean, among the other allegations that he's clearly making..  He's getting completely bodied.

Kendrick having a mole inside of Drake's camp is obviously plausible.  And considering the photo that Kendrick has been using for his responses... god damn...  If you look, it's still not fully revealed.. there's more to zoom out with yet..

    GMtTWlGWwAEq0FW?format=jpg&name=large

Also, I was reading about the meaning behind 6:16

    6:16 = June 16

    -Father's day (Nuff said)

-Tupac's birthday (Drake used Tupac AI voice in his diss)

-"Euphoria" show premiered on that day (Executively produced by Drake and was the name of Kendrick's diss track)

-Nicole Brown Simpson's funeral date (The glove representing OJ Simpson being guilty)

Jesus christ...  what the fuck else is that picture going to reveal??

  16. Like I said.. I'd love for Steam to just have a built in account management system when you go into the client, add your various accounts, and then games simply query your Steam Account to see if the necessary account is logged in, and then just does it automatically.  If not, it askes you to add one.

I don't mind that games require log-ins to accounts... it's completely understandable in my eyes, obviously for MP games.. however it IS annoying that every game has to ask me individually.. especially the Microsoft ones lol.

I think Sony will cave to their demands but I imagine they will be salty over it. The whole fiasco is an overreaction that I kinda blame Sony for. If they had made PSN hard requirement from day one none of this would have happened. These people are crying because Sony let them into the game without enforcing the PSN requirement and now they have to go back and make one. It's all entitled crybabies throwing a tantrum.

I agree.  It's something that shouldn't have ever been an issue really.

  18. 2 minutes ago, FIREPOWER said:

You don't need to live in a country with PSN to have an account. I have friends that live in countries that don't have official PSN support with PSN accounts. It takes 5 minutes to create a PSN account regardless of the region you live in with a random gmail account, it's a non-issue especially for a free account that won't be getting charged. I own Chinese, Hong Kong, UK, and Japanese PSN accounts and I live in the US. Sony doesn't region lock PSN accounts and you can even buy stuff in regions you don't live in with prepaid PSN cards. These people are just bitching over nothing.

I know that, but it can still cause an issue for them if they make an account in another region.  Who's to say that Sony wont crack down on all these accounts in the future?

We'll have to see what they say/do.  The best thing would be to just reverse the decision for this game and give consumers a clear understanding that any future MP game will require a PSN account.

Sony really should have just bit the bullet with this release and just demanded it from games going forward.

As for their strategy regarding regional issues... man... it would be in their best interest to simply allow any Steam accounts from those regions to bypass the PSN requirement as they are currently.  Only make PSN sign in a requirement in countries which officially support it.

  20. 13 minutes ago, FIREPOWER said:

After all this bitching and crying over a simple PSN account I doubt Sony will be looking favorably at bringing more of their games to PC at a speedy rate.

This whole shit is a stupid overreaction. All major companies require accounts for MAU tracking. Everyone is okay with MS, Ubi, EA, etc. asking for accounts but want to die when Sony asks them to use 3 minutes to create an account. If I'm Sony I'm looking extremely cautiously about bringing more games to PC after this fiasco. Sure, I'll still bring my GAAS games to PC but definitely won't be speeding up the release of my prestige SP titles on the platform.

Nah, that shit wont have any affect on that at all man.  Sony know it's because they enforced it after the fact... not that it's required in the first place.

Sony are speeding up bringing their games to PC dude.. it's not changing. :D
