The new console loads XO games faster, higher resolution, HDR at a hardware level for BC games... as well as upgraded versions of XO games at higher framerates... regardless of what you THINK... there's plenty of reasons to upgrade NOW.. for him.

The problem is that Series X plays Xbox One games... so he's simply upgrading his console... and can play all the previous games... and new games as well. He's not losing anything by buying one sooner. In fact... selling you his Xbox console would have been a great way to make a big chunk of the cost go away... since he'll get more for it now than he would a couple years from now..... You're trying REALLY hard.... to "get him"... but you're failing.

Well we know it's a part of xCloud.. which means that devices like Android as well as potentially TVs in the future could support it. I don't know why you think gamepass is coming to other consoles...if that's what you're trying to get at. Gamepass would have to be connected through xCloud... and face it... Sony and Nintendo aren't allowing MS to make money off their playerbase with 3rd party games.

Yea that makes sense. xCloud is just a project name too at this point, the final name isn't decided and it will be changed when it's fully launched, iirc.. so having their services just be Gamepass and whatever xCloud ends up being named simplifies things. GamePass for Xbox GamePass for PC And xCloud for everything I do think there's some meaning to simplifying and differentiating the services from the brand though. Like I said.. if in the future, MS's consoles simply don't sell enough and they don't see the point in developing specialized console

I think there's going to be instances of both. Some parts basically requiring you to see both worlds together to understand how one will affect the other, and then other sections where you need to be completely in one world switching back and forth accomplishing tasks or whatever.

Yes, well that's nice, but DS4 controllers are different... which was my point. Yea, they should include a play and charge kit with every controller. I've got a couple of them which did actually come with controllers I've bought.. but I realize most of them don't. I'm not arguing that they shouldn't.. I'm simply arguing that "using AA batteries" isn't some "legacy" thing... it has it's benefits. I like the option of being able to use AA batteries and swap them out immediately without having to wait for my controller to recharge and play plugged in. That said.. I real

I love having the option to either use batteries, or a rechargeable battery pack. Having the option is always great. I can buy multiple batteries and never have to worry about charging or connecting anything to play... or I can have multiple rechargeable battery packs and always have a set charged and ready to go...
