Yea I mean, it's a form of simplifying some of the base capabilities of the architecture. It's a hybrid and doesn't have all the features of RDNA2, but has some custom Sony ones. People wouldn't understand that and it would obviously be used as negative PR to have PS5 sound like it's behind architecturally than Series X or RDNA2 when it still hasn't even released yet. So that's what they publicly call it. It's 100% custom hybrid RDNA. Xbox is as well.
