  1. LMAO reception to the trailer was so bad, they are delaying the game a few weeks to improve it.. lmao... idiots. You take one of the most renowned graphical games of all time, and "remaster" it, and it very clearly doesn't even reach the bar set by the original.... yea, people are going to rightfully mock the shit out of it. Not sure if a few weeks is enough time to address all the shit that is obviously a step down from the original, but w/e lmao
  2. https://www.pcgamer.com/death-stranding-dlss-2-4k-2060-performance/ https://www.pcgamer.com/death-stranding-on-pc-is-a-great-version-of-a-very-weird-game/ Tom's Hardware also has an article up, they were able to test the game as well https://www.tomshardware.com/news/death-stranding-pc-dlss-performance-preview Good shit. Sounds like they've done a good job with this version. This bodes well for Horizon: Zero Dawn too, which hopefully will support DLSS as well.
  3. Yea, the WD Blacks are damn good drives. That'll do nicely. It was the same thing for me, I basically have this HDD for all our media and shit, but I'm just getting tired of waiting for the drive to spin up and things taking quite a while to copy and move. They're undeniably great as far as capacity is concerned.. but now SSDs (SATA) are getting high capacity enough that it just makes sense to retire the old HDDs once and for all. Maybe connect it to the router as a NAS or whatever.. but as far as inside the PC, I'll be happy to be done with it.
  4. just a 970 Evo Plus 500GB I was gonna get the 1TB, but this is primarily for just the OS, I figured I didn't need THAT much space. When Samsung release the 980 Pro, that will be my gaming drive and I'll go 1TB for that. I have a couple SATA SSDs as well, but I want to get maybe 3-4TB of those so I can get rid of this HDD. I don't want any HDDs in this PC at all. They take forever to spin up and move/copy files. I can't deal with it any more.
  5. My NVMe My 7200RPM 4TB HDD lmao
  6. They are a little clicky at first but wear in quick enough and feel great. The shoulder buttons are definitely better. I've used one of those before as well, and can say they're definitely better. The SN30Pro is the closest you can get to an official SNES controller without it actually being official. I wish Nintendo would just fucking sell their NES and SNES gamepads that they have for Switch Online and just have them connect to everything as generic pads. It feels so nice to play classic games and sidescrollers with SNES style controllers.
  7. Saving Private Property All of those are hilarious
  8. The only character I liked from the new movies is Finn... and they fucked him over smh. I'd love if they would have focused on Finn and built the trilogy around him instead.
  9. Yea, I have a feeling Horizon: Forbidden West is being built on like a half-step upgrade to the engine. It's clearly far suprior, but I have a feeling that their next game after Horizon might be on a vastly improved version of the engine. Kinda like Horizon 2 is just feeling out the potential of what they can do with a lot of the tech they already have, and then likely a new IP will introduce the real next iteration of the engine. In other Decima news, Death Stranding on PC is going to support DLSS2.0... which is interesting considering that both Death Stranding and Ho
  10. That's why ray-tracing is so good/interesting.. you get the same lighting model during cutscenes as you get during gameplay. It can make a huge difference. Games really just need to start being built from the ground up for it. But it's quite clear that we're still a ways away from that being common. Still though, there'll be some games this coming gen that will do it, and they'll stick out.
  11. Yea.. it's damn pretty. Aloy's model has tons and tons more geometry as well.. making everything nice and round. Still early days too.
  12. Nice video breakdown by Alex. I was really surprised when he started talking about the sky rendering technology...the new game is a huge improvement over the previous game.
