It's a remake... at native 4k... with Ray tracing. It's been in development for years... land likely isn't even using many of the new features of the hardware architecture. RT alone is taxing... but add to the fact that PS5's RT capability is going to be compromised by the low amount of CUs in the PS5 as well as the lower memory bandwidth. That greatly affects RT performance.. There's a reason why BIG NAVI is going to have well over 2x the CUs as PS5. Sony will be fine and be smarter/more selective about how they use RT. But 30fps for those games isn't bad.

Heavy means quality. I think my 2080ti alone damn near weighs that (it's the massive heatsinks lol)

It's the motherboard I have... and exactly what I said. The 550s are coming in at very similar prices to the x570s, and after release, they will jump higher in price I bet. Another thing to remember is that b550 only has PCIe4 from the CPU, the chipset uplink only supports Gen3, whereas on the x570 boards it supports Gen4.

Depth does matter. The farther back the console sits in a shelf or entertainment center, the less room it has to expel that hot air... and that air WILL be hot. There is wasted space with those curves. With the curves AND the stand, there's over an INCH of wasted space easily. Looks like that goes ALL around the console with that overhang too. Series X is going to look like a receiver when laid horizontally. PS5 is gonna look out of place and dumb.

There's a good 3/4 inch overhang in height, plus you have the vertical stand which adds another inch or so. And with PS5, you'll want that stand... and it's FARRRR deeper than Series X when vertical as well. Like I said, the footprint is bigger either way. Series X doesn't need any stand in any orientation and you don't have to worry about it flopping over... it's far shorter than the PS5, so even less chance still of it falling over for whatever reason. Horizontally there's tons of wasted space with those curves, as well as the stand, which is just ridiculous. You literally n

Nah, Xbox has a smaller footprint no matter which way you put it, and is less high when set horizontally than a AVR.... and the console actually fits in and isn't distracting. And yes, I'm going to laugh at it all I want.
