Apparently the studio had never released a game and was made specifically to work on VR stuff... so perhaps they are just trimming fat and allocating those resources elsewhere. Sucks for the team because it was obviously a surprise to them. They just announced on twitter on Jan 29th that they were hiring and had 2 positions available.

MS should simply not say or announce anything until after Sony does. At E3 show the games, and that's it. Reveal the full specs and price after Sony.
