No... I'm not salty at all about this game not being on PC day 1. I'm discussing why Dragon's Dogma 2 sold more. And you DO realize that FF7 Rebirth was available for the ENTIRE MONTH of March.... while DD2 was available for just a bit over a week.... You're basically celebrating the fact that SquareEnix is making games that cost far more, selling them to less people than they would have before... and stifling their series' potential by taking deals which hurt them in the long run.... just to say "well it's selling close to the same on a single platform"... lmfao. Th

omfg.. They didn't "feel that it would cost more"..... Sony paid them some money to keep it off other platforms.... And I can tell you with 100% certainty... that it's stifling the series' growth. Which is why we have games like Dragon's Dogma 2... with not even close to the same amount of pedigree... beating/matching it..

And I'm challenging you.... The cost of launching FF on one system compared to it being launched on multiple is NOT the win you think it is. Square launching on multiple consoles would NOT have substantially increased costs over releasing on just one... and then porting to the others a year later. You're also forgetting that by not releasing on multiple platforms at launch, they're actively hindering their products ability to GROW and reach more people during its biggest selling period. That has been proven multiple times now. Look at other Japanese companies succee

Nah man it is. Because sales are sales... it doesn't matter the number of platforms. FF is a massive franchise, and like I said... FF7 is the most beloved entry in the entire series. Final Fantasy used to be a multiplatform series at launch. Dragon's Dogma was never the major series Final Fantasy was. There's NO world that exists where SquareEnix used less resources to create FF7 Rebirth than Capcom did for Dragon's Dogma 2 Be honest with yourself man. FF is a series with tons of legacy... and has been primarily a PS oriented franchise since the release of FF7...

Yea yea, 1 platform vs 3.... that's not the flex you think it is. Final Fantasy USED to be on 3 platforms as well... and Final Fantasy 7 is the most popular and beloved game in the series.. SquareEnix are so fucking stupid Also Rise of the Ronin didn't make top 10. Bad results for that game and they shouldn't have released it around DD2.

Like Jon said, the discourse of the game is skewed because of the micro transaction backlash.. and that's absolutely affected meta user scores. I'm not saying it's a perfect game.. there's plenty of issues with it. It's not going to be for everybody. I mean I think it would have been nice to have multiple save slots and be able to create multiple Arisen/Pawn combinations... It's pretty pathetic the game didn't have the ability to start a "new game" at first. That plays into the issue that some people are losing more progress than they expect to when they load a game save from th

Fighting, exploring, and leveling up different vocations is extremely entertaining... especially with the games various systems in play. For one, the story doesn't need to be some grand thing... because the story of the game is what you experience and encounter making your way through its world. Let me give you an example. You have a game like Horizon: Forbidden West... you travel from place to place to get to the next story beat. The most interesting things that happen to you don't happen as you're travelling, but when you finally reach your destination. Meanwhile in a game li

Yea, when you could be making threads discussing games that you're playing and enjoying instead? Don't see me in threads about Rise of the Ronin making criticisms about it, or any other games I'm not playing
-
I care even less about what people who don't play games think about it
-
Too busy having a blast with the game to give a shit what other people's criticisms are. You know what I'm not doing? Going into threads about Rise of the Ronin and shitting on it while trying to justify my purchase of choosing another game over it. That's because there's no threads about people enjoying Rise of the Ronin

Unreal Engine 5.5 is going to be huge.. Nanite for Skeletal meshes is coming!
Remij replied to Remij's topic in System Wars
UE5.4 has some big performance improvements coming under the hood which should help it hit 60fps targets. Who knows what else 5.5 will have. -
lmfao.. probably from Playstation losers who want to tear the game down because it shits on their exclusive Rise of Seven Dogma 2 = 88 Ronin = 76

Clownux3... Imagine Lemmings

Another stupid take proving you don't know what you're talking about. I'm not, and never was a Lemming.

Maybe you clowns just needed to open your eyes? He's been gaming on PC for years and years. Just goes to show you guys don't know what you're talking about

This game is awesome. I've got around 30 hours into it now and having just finished up the first area I decided to head into to the second area. Took out another big Golem, and a Griffin along the main path. I'm starting to get pretty good at destroying Griffins. This one I finished off in a single encounter before it could fly away. On my way to town it started turning to night time, and in the distance I could see a campfire burning and was like YES! I need to rest up and cook some grub to get some stat boosts.. and just as I was getting there, I got ambushed by a gro

This is a huge deal. They're slowly getting all of this functionality online and making it all much more performant. 5.5 will probably be out towards the end of the year. Now realistically, this is what the engine should have been able to do they launched it... but it's clear the way they're developing and designing the engine has changed to facilitate more organic updates. Wouldn't surprise me if The Coalition has access and is working hand in hand with Epic on building Unreal Engine 5.x and that their game will make use of all the added functionality. UE5.4 also has huge perf
