  1. And now he's about to sucker punch Sony with that Nvidia GPU power
  2. lol... a Senior Nvidia GPU architect posted this on Twitter on Jan 6th.. Holy fucking shit
  3. Naughty Dog is looking for a graphics programmer with PC and Nvidia CUDA experience. The job posting went up 2 days ago... so essentially after Kotaku's story ran... and is the only position by Naughty Dog which includes "Nvidia".. So essentially while it's usual that developers use and develop on PCs.. in Naughty Dogs case this is the first time they were asking for knowledge specific to Nvidia. https://jackofallcontrollers.com/2020/01/19/sony-interactive-entertainment-is-looking-for-someone-with-nvidia-gpu-and-pc-programming-knowledge-to-work-on-the-last-of-us-part-ii/amp/
  4. The potential is there.. but at lower frequencies, it's not blowing anything away. 15-20% faster is my guess. But hey... if they hit high clocks.. it'll do what we need it to do.
  5. Looks as retarded as the 360 Slim with those ugly ass angles
  6. Not necessarily. The 2080ti is 13.4TF.. but AMD's RDNA TFs still aren't quite as performant as Nvidia's. The 5700XT = 9.754 TF The 2070 Super = 9.062 TF The 2070 Super is ~10% faster on average. Based on your TF estimate.. if it IS that (it could be faster yet) then it should be a bit faster than the 2080ti... nothing I would call "blowing it away" There WAS a supposed leak of "big navi" beating the 2080ti in a VR benchmark by 17% though... so that would fall in line with what I would expect the general performance differential to be. See
  7. What do you consider a good or interesting looking console?
  8. I don't think it'll look like that. It's too ugly with those angles.
  9. and you guys try to tell me it looks better than the XSX... than you're dead to me Hopefully this is just bullshit because that this is hideous
  10. Basically this was posted on ResetERA, but it comes from a Chiphell user. Boards are apparently in testing so there should be an announcement soon if everything goes well. We pretty much already knew this would be the case.. but the certainty is piling up. https://www.chiphell.com/thread-2181303-3-1.html They should finally be able to edge out the 2080ti. Just in time for Ampere to razzle-dazzle them
  11. lmao it's so true. Telling someone to wait is safe as far as advice goes, because we know that the products will either be better or cheaper. It all depends on how patient the person is, or if they need it now or not. At some point.. you've just got to settle and bite the bullet.

I personally couldn't wait 1 year for FF7R. But that game has such a near and dear place in my heart, especially with regards to Playstation, that it only feels right to release first there. I'm buying both the PS4 and Steam copy when it releases.
  13. The flooded the market with needless amounts of cards for sure. Literally cards that are separated by $20-30... lol. They rerelease cards to stay in the news cycle and put a damper on competitors card launches. Nvidia either had to release "new" cards, or lower the price of their current cards. They didn't want to do that at the time so they released "Super" cards to combat AMD instead of just dropping prices. But, now, with so many cards out there... they're forced to do it anyway.. which often completely nullifies other cards in different price brackets. We need this competi
  14. I see now that you said the 2070 when I was clearly talking about the Super... In those Techpowerup screens the 5700 gets beat by the 2060 Super, and the 5700XT gets beat by the 2070 Super. As for the 2060 and 2070... well, the 2060 is now $299, which means it's cheaper and about as fast as the 5700 and has more features. The 5600XT is essentially replacing the 5700... which should die a proper death.
  15. First.. I already said that TechPowerUp's performance summary is based off the 21 games they review cards with...... Those are real comparison benchmarks... I'm not shitting on Steve... his information is accurate... but in this case it's extremely limited in scope, which was my point. The 5700 and 5700XT are indeed top performing AMD gpus... but they don't beat the RTX 2060 Super and 2070 Super in most benchmarks.

This is becoming a theme with consoles and games that you used to support
  17. Like I said.. we can extrapolate performance... The fact is... at those clocks.. it should perform identically in most games. And the 5700 vs 2060 debate completely depends on which games you're testing. Sorry, but as great as Gamers Nexus is.. 3 games doesn't show the whole picture. TechPowerUps 21 Game summary shows a better picture. By dropping the price, Nvidia demolished the 5700. Similar performance, and more features. AMD chose to upgrade their 5600XT instead of drop the price of their 5700... and by doing so... made the 5700 irrelevant.
  18. Dude... we can extrapolate performance. And I'm talking about the 5600XT... with this vBIOS update.. It's going to be as fast as the 5700 dude.. lmao And again... the 5700 = ~2060.. It's easy to hit 5700 perf with a mild OC. And there's quite simply no contest when it comes to forward looking features. I hate to tell you this man... but AMD themselves completely nullified their 5700 card with the 5600XT vBIOS update. There's NO possible way I could recommend anyone buy a 5700 series GPU right now. In less than 10 months anyone who does is going to feel

    The Chief is BACK
  20. The 2060 is cheaper and has more features and about the same performance. Even AMD's own 5600XT nullifies it.. That's what their little spec bump did to themselves. If you're an AMD fan, you buy the cheaper 5600XT... if you're an Nvidia fan you buy the cheaper RTX 2060.
