Nintendo directs work... because things like E3 still exist and people have it to look forward to because Nintendo does one every E3.. I like Phil. He literally saved Xbox from being dissolved. He brought MS back around to PC where it started.. and is setting plans in motion that look beyond a box. lmao... the 360 and XO were completely different architecturally... that "huge undertaking" was having multiple teams and the architectures necessitating a complete rethink of the design.. Nowadays that's not entirely necessary... and the architectures are extremely similar, dev tools and engines are similar, and scale much better than they did before.
