  1. Well the people bitching in this thread that it's not HL3 and traditional DO seem to care Go back to not caring then and get the fuck out of the thread.. wont hurt my feelings
  2. Yea. It's awesome that they're supporting all 3 styles. Teleportation and turning increments is pretty much the standard at the moment and works very well. The shifting, as you say, is a good medium ground between teleporting and full analog movemet. You'll get a nice smooth transition from point A-B which will take into account a consistent speed as well as keep your movement accurate. One of the biggest contributing factors to motion sickness especially with the full analog movement is not being able to keep your direction perfectly straight when moving forward. In many gam
  3. Yea. It's steep enough assuming you already own a gaming PC and just have to buy a headset. If you don't already own a PC though... yea not many people would bother. That said, Valve are going out of their way to make it as cheap as possible in my eyes. They're supporting all headsets and the min specs aren't that high at all. It'll very likely come to PS5 and PSVR2 at some point, so maybe that will be a better route for you to go, if you're planning on buying a PS5 in the future anyway.
  4. It supports almost every VR set you can connect to a PC. So Vive, Rift, Quest, and Index... but also Windows MR sets. Which means you could buy a fairly cheap $200-300 set and play it. The Index itself though is very expensive. But it's also the best selling thing on Steam right now Should mention you also get the game free when you buy the headset or the Index controllers.
  5. I've watched the trailer like 10 times now. So good. I can already sense what this is going to look like and feel like in the head set. Gonna be so godly. Just 4 months away
  6. I wish people could just admit that they're mad at the game because it requires them to own something instead of not being "HL3" and that they could be excited for the fact that it could actually be a stellar experience not possible on any other platform than VR..
  7. Well it's undeniable that they could have made tons more money from it if it was a traditional game They're not worried about that though. They're more interested in pushing boundaries and playing with the tech than making money off Half Life anymore. I have no doubt in my mind that this isn't "HL3" because that game will exist in the traditional sense eventually.. but this game is a test to see what is possible and how receptive the fanbase is to it.
  8. Probably because I'm the only one here with a PC VR set you fuckknob I understand you're butthurt as fuck right now.. and the reason I'm not.. is because I have a VR set... so it really doesn't fucking matter to me what Valve decided to do with Half Life. I even mentioned many times before that for Valve to make HL3, they would have to be able to do something different with it. It would have to be stellar in some respect to justify it being made. Since the very beginning I've spoken highly about VR and what it could do for a game like Half Life.
  9. What the absolute FUCK are you talking about? This is EXACTLY what I wanted..... I've been on board with VR since the beginning. I don't give a fuck about a number 3 after the title... This is a new HL game, and it's going to be better than any 2D HL game would have been. I'm glad Valve is giving you and all the other VR haters the middle finger
  10. Somebody is mad bub ut valve can't compete with tha big bois run along and click that little "surprise me" button for a new gamepass game to play bitch
  11. A typical 2D HL game would be so fucking boring compared to what this can potentially be. They wouldn't have ever even done this shit if it wasn't for the ability to bring a new kind of experience out of it... and VR allows them to do that an innovate in the space. If you're that big of a fan of HL.. you'll find a way to play the game. You can get a Rift S for like $500 or a Quest for $400 and connect it to your PC. People spend $500 on a console with shit games at launch.. HL fans will buy head sets for this. VRVR#1
  12. Holy fucking shit that looks so godly... And lmao the guys talking like the graphics are only average... lmao when you see those graphics in the headset, it's going to blow anything else away.. trust me on that. The animations and interaction look a gen ahead of anything I've seen or played. The enemy AI also looks like it's going to be pretty awesome. Apart from all that... it was just a fucking dope trailer as well. Just 4 months away PCPC#1
  13. They fucked up hard at the beginning and lost sight of making AAA quality games for the most part. But ultimately I think that if MS can bounce back from this, they can bounce back from anything.. and now we have a MS more focused on the consumer than ever before. They really just need great games.
  14. ^LOL Miyamoto did not design the game. He didn't approve mechanics... he tested and gave feedback on mechanics that were already decided upon to improve upon them in any way. So no... he didn't create BOTW's open world systems and how they function... He's no less a legend and one of the all time greats... but he didn't design BOTW..
  15. Dude... Miyamoto didn't have anything to do with the design of BOTW. He wasn't a part of any of the decision making to build the game around those concepts. He approved them... after they were already implemented into something that he could play. He's supervised and gave feedback on those designs the team came up with... He wasn't in charge of the design at all. BOTW is NOT a Zelda game that Miyamoto himself would have made... guaranteed. And my criticism of him and his excessive tutorials and hand-holding was simply that... it's how you know when he has had little t
  16. Yea.. but you said "if Miyamoto had designed this".. Twinblade said Miyamoto would just rehash shit.. and you brought up BOTW in your response.. so I just thought I'd say that Miyamoto had almost nothing to do with that game. Which is good because if he had.. the game would absolutely still have the ridiculous hand-holding tutorials of past Zelda games that he was involved in and probably rehash a lot of shit.
  17. Miyamoto had almost nothing to do with BOTW though..
  18. Well considering that they're partnering with Netease... I'd say they're going to have access to quite a lot of money lol.
