It was funny, and dare I say pretty cute. It doesn't stick to the "source material" as Jerry claims, it is inspired by the source materal to a degree of authenticity. It felt like sonic, and Sonic had the Sonic attitude. The voice actor sounded like Sonic. It however, is an original work, completely foreign to the sonic universe as seen in the games. Anime is more social conservative than a lot of western shows. Anime about ambiguous gender stuff is probably like 5% of shows, and even then, the reason is most likely a joke. The transgender thing is a western phenomenon, and western trans people idolize Japanese anime because they like to self insert, or they like the porn. I don't feel lonely as I feel nostalgic by remembering old friends and the times I had with them. I remember my mom, who died, and I remember the great times I had. I guess I feel lonely by not being with the people I remember, but it's more a of a nostalgia.
