It doesn't have to be that way, there can be cool weeaboos. In fact anime is quite cool.

But there are these cringe weeaboos, and they represent a good portion of people who turn out for anime events.

That anime club at university? Pretty cringe bro, they play cards against humanity and watch Rick and Morty... when they're not watching cringe anime.

What entails the graphics debate nowadays? 

Graphics are much better than they used to be, almost photorealistic. 

They've come a long way since far cry.

So what would "good graphics" mean now that systems can't one up each other and have graphical superiority? 

I think that the graphics debate has changed from being something that looks the most real, to something that has the best art direction. Photorealism is nice, but is it necessarily preferable when we can achieve nice graphics on every system? 

Will "good" graphics necessarily mean something looks the most realistic or something that has the best taste, the best look? 

People make fun of art games, but I think the old graphics debate is dead, replaced by the new graphics debate.

Looks nice. I collect Japanese anime art, but this is pretty cool as far as hobbyist stuff is concerned.
