Funny part is that given the state of PC Gaming in 2023, Sony could release all first party day 1 on PC and PS5 and there would still only be one actually playable version at release

2/5 for Sony first party which is what I really care about 3.5-4/5 for 3rd party stuff. Overall there is probably more games I'm interested on than I thought there would be but what I wanted to see was what Sony was working on and we didn't get that.

Massive difference in price. In the US physical and digital release are all identical, in places like Europe or say Australia there is big differences, Eg Diablo IV, buying on PSN or MS Store is $110AUD or $80 on Amazon (physical) Sony first party are $125Aud on PSN or $80 on Amazon (physical) That means there is still a heavy physical audience in these regions which then also means a lot more trading games with friends and a lot more trade in deals. Eg atm, our version of say a Walmart has an offer to trade 2 newish releases and get TOTK, Diablo IV or FFXVI for free.

Hence why expectations very much in check. Seems Bluepoint really is making a new IP though.

Spiderman looked great, a lot of other 3rd party title looked great but stunned how little first party they showed. They really aren't revealing anything early these days. Long gone are the days of TLOU2, GoT and DS trailers for 3 years before launch.
