  1. LowT ain't wrong. For a game that prides itself on it's open world and feeling real and alive the mission structure in the game truly is abysmal. On rails is harsh but in essence very true for the missions. It is far more restrictive than nearly any other current open world I can think of. Mission failures for trying to flank an enemy.... mission failures for moving anything outside of the straight line the devs want you to walk on. Forced scoping, forced needless walking, 'stealth' sections where you don't really have options but just the one route. There is a multitude of these in the game.
  2. Sometimes for me to truly appreciate just how good Sony has been to us I need to remind myself what gaming would be like if I just played on xbox.
  3. You were right, even my $2 for 2 months of GP seems like I'm getting ripped off But teh powa of teh cloud
  4. Even worse than the Campaign 4.0 from the easiest reviewers in the biz, IGN. https://au.ign.com/articles/2019/02/16/crackdown-3-multiplayer-review At least the campaign managed a 5.0
  5. Impressions from the Era thread are sounding great, even story wise. Hope restored! I'll be getting it on the 22nd
  6. The geners are so different that it is hard to choose. Haven't played it but Divinity is supposed to be superb. But SotC is a must play if you haven't and TF2 campaign for $10 is well worth it too.
  7. Previews from ppl who are playing it are sounding pretty positive.
  8. A bunch more of Crackdown 3 and catching up on some titles I missed: Hellblade - Great game, not a 9/10 for me (so far anyway) because it is very limited in scope (which is fine) but some of the puzzles are quite tedious and annoying. The game is downright stunning graphically though. Ori = Holy shit this is spectacular.
  9. Okay so early impressions for those that care. It's Crackdown..... in all the good and bad way. Bad ways because I mean it is legit Crackdown. It feels like you're going back a gen or 2 in regards to open world games. With that said the orb collecting and actually feeling the improvement in your character is still as fun as it was in the original. You constantly have your level up meters on the side for all your abilities like agility, melee, gun combat, etc and it is satisfying to increase them. However it really is mono tone and repetitive. One hour or so in and you know the game
  10. Will do. I'll post some thoughts when I've played it for a few hours.
  11. He's been head of Xbox since 2014......if he doesn't know his first party studios by now he is absolutely horrible at his job. Which wouldn't be surprising considering he has overseen the worst run of first party titles I've ever seen
  12. The game is a technical marvel and tbh only Rockstar really have the resources and time to pull something like that off. No one else can afford 1000+ dev teams on one game and 5+ year dev times so will probably be a while since something comes close from a detail and technical aspect.
  13. No desire to improve them either just literally bought entire new teams
  14. I've skipped the last few FIFAs after always getting it yearly. Since Ultimate Team took off the series has taken a major nosedive. All focus towards that since that is where they make their money. PES use to be the absolute best in the PS2 days so may try it out again.
  15. Sheeeeeshhh. How the hell did they fucking manage to make it even worse than expected. Let me guess, Mattrick is still getting the blame for a 2019 game? lol Our Lord and Saviour Phil Spencer surely has no blame at all
  16. johnny talking about 2 games he hasn't played while he's spent hours and hours on State of Decay 2
