Critical reception for games in the Detroit genre are pointless because it is such a love or hate genre. Prior to Detroit, the easily best game in the genre; Until Dawn, had a meta of 79. Detroit is an even better game than that and one of the few games where your decisions actually matter and not even in a Path A or B kind of way. It is excellent.

Yeah, while this game doesn't do anything new in the open world genre it imo has the best implementation of collectibles ever. Slow trickle instead of just all flooding the map at once, all tied in some way to the story, all used as a means to upgrade multiple items from gadgets to unlocking new suits. Plus the fact the traversal is so fun makes them a joy to do.

There is some extremely likable characters and a plot I don't want to ruin, it is very much worth checking out. Like I said, it is so short there really isn't anything to lose.

This show is probably a myriad of things that push the boundary of what shouldn't be on tv, probably why I said GD would like it lol It's not even that that was a school shooting. The imagery and music during the scene is just incredibly disturbing. Scene starts with the yellow bag in the position of the typical Happy Smiley face icon, the school is totally painted Green (the opposite of Red in terms of colour symbolism, so your eyes are seeing the colour of life while immense death is taking place), while the school shooting starts taking place the camera pans into a giant 'LOL' on the wall while the music plays. It is extremely fucked up, no doubt. Hits all your senses, the eyes, ears and mind being showing up beat happy things (music, colour and LOL text) while the most horrific of actions is taking place. It's the juxtaposition I was talking about earlier. There are other scenes which imo are even more out there but I already think I've ruined enough. 

(One thing to note is that this is a British show so they don't have the gun violence and school shooting stigma that USA does)

The ending of S2 is satisfying enough to last as a definitive end but they most certainly could've continued. Still very much worth watching. It's 2 seasons, 6 episodes a season, so only 12 eps.

Not everything is about ultra realism and certain shows are about showing an escalation of violence. There is a very specific reason that the opening scene is fairly 'tame', it's just setting the tone for the show.. I don't really want to post more spoilers but this is just the opening scene of Ep3 (and again there is more escalation later):

This is easily the best version of BC 

The game is so close to release and I have so many other games to play atm that I'll prob give the demo a miss and just wait a little longer to play the actual game. Good to hear such positive impressions though, although was there ever really any doubt.

Yeah the only issue is the cycling through items which is more of a console control scheme problem. Hopefully they come up with an alternative though.

I've played COD every year and I still have no idea what weapon is good lol I have no idea if I'm upgrading or downgrading everytime I pick up a weapon.

As for impressions. It is pretty much a polished, tight and enhanced version of PUBG. You can tell that was their sole inspiration and that this was fairly deep in development before the Fortnite boom because there is zero inspiration from that. 

You forget you are actually playing a COD game. This isn't some tacked on mode, they went all out. If you like PUBG; this is better, simple is that. Better in nearly every way.

Given the taste of show ppl here I think yous will enjoy it, @-GD- especially. We seem to have fairly similar taste and not to overhype it but imo it's top 3 best shows of all time good. It's super dark in themes yet bright in visuals, has the best cinematography of any show I've ever watched (even better than BB and BCS), uses juxtaposition in ways I haven't seen in other shows and is just downright amazing. Every scene is a work of art.

On topic, of course we are. Any individual denying it is just plain dumb and as for corporations/governments then it's a little more obvious why they'd want to deny it.

The truth though is that on an individual level there really isn't much you can do that can have an actual impact. 30% of all carbon dioxide omissions come from China, double that of second place USA. That's 2 countries making up nearly 50% and even heavy regulation isn't going to have any major impact on their emissions. 

My entire country of Australia can deindustralise and go back to 'living off the land' and it will have as close to zero impact.

Back on an individual level, the sole act of having a child will have more of a impact on the earth than all other individual actions combined and that is a core act of the existence of the human race. 

So yeah, we're sort of fucked.

Because he needs it to not only be good, but the best. If you say PC is better than somehow that is a personal insult to him mostly cause he has to justify what he plays in his mind. This is the same guy that is excited for Tomb Raider but hates Uncharted, same guy that isnt interested in GoW, UC, TLoU, etc because they are 'moviegames' yet his fav PS4 games are The Order and Detroit (actual movie games). Don't try apply logic here. 

Worst part about all of it is he is real lol not the usual SW character or troll  

Biggest accomplishment was getting GS to added 'Xbox One' under available platforms for VC4  Serious business.
