I noticed that when I turned off crossplay early in the morning when the beta went live I got matched with bots but when I got in the game late this afternoon I was matched with full rooms with players. Then again I’m playing on PS5 and your experience may be different if you are playing on a different platform.

It’s all subjective. I find it fun personally and I can’t stand COD at all. I enjoy the sandbox gameplay that comes from having an open map with vehicles. What you call mindless is an opportunity for me to experiment with gameplay options and traversal. I’m also not noticing the lack of recoil you’re complaining about but maybe it’s because I’m playing on PS5 with no aim assist.

You need to use vehicle spawner and stay close to objectives. Running around like a headless chicken will get you sniped just like in real life. I rarely ever run between objectives especially when I can easily spawn a vehicle in a few seconds to my location. Seems to me Conquest isn’t your style, perhaps TDM would be more focused and smaller for people like you that prefer close quarter combat.

Playing on PS5 and the visuals are crisp and nice. Noticed a few visual glitches here and there and some dropped frames but overall it’s solid. Seems like it’s running native 4K or some really good temporal injection on PS5 because I don’t notice any blurriness. It also has an FOV slider which is welcome change for consoles. It’s a way better beta than BF3 and BF4 were back in the day. People complaining about minor glitches in this game must have completely skipped older BF betas. I tuned off crossplay on PS5 because I know PC players will have the immediate advantage over console

I’ve been gaming for 32 years and posting in gaming forums since the early 2000s, and every time we get one of these polls we always get 98% of the forum disagreeing with the results. Don’t act like you would agree with the poll if it was some other Sony game. Your issue isn’t whether God of War deserves the title or not your issue is that you’re asshurt a Sony game is winning the poll. Be honest with yourself and embrace the salt.

None of the crap you posted makes any sense. If what you said is true and the place was run by casuals GOW would have lost a long time ago to other games that are way more popular than it with casuals. Anyway IGN fixed their poll and tossed out the rigged GTA V votes. GOW is now back to leading again

Some salty GTAV fan hacked the poll on IGN's site. God of War went from winning 70/30 an hour ago to losing 80/20 now lol. It's still ahead on the Twitter and Instagram polls though.

Damage control. Casuals don’t even read IGN or any other gaming publication for that matter. They just buy COD and Madden/NBA2K/FIFA every year, no need to read reviews when you are buying only those annual games every year. This was voted by hardcore or semi-hardcore gamers, they are the only people that would be bothered to even vote on a GOAT game list. Casual gamers aren’t passionate enough about gaming to bother voting or even following IGN on Twitter/Instagram to begin with.

Correction, you streamed it to PC, and that's where your problem lies. No self-respecting PC gamer should be streaming games at 720p with input lag. I dunno if I'd call it the GOAT either but it was definitely not an "ok" game, it was fucking awesome and is one of the best games released last gen.

Wasn't the Initiative supposed to be MS' new "AAAA" development studio that they claimed would be taking on the likes of Naughty Dog? Why then do they need another AAA studio to come in to hold their hands and help them make games? This is fucking embarrassing.
