Behind the scenes, Spencer was working on a merger approach. Microsoft's pitch, as with its other large gaming deals, heavily leveraged Spencer’s decades-long industry experience. The executive joined Microsoft as an intern in 1988 after a stint hawking video games and PC gear in a Computer Mart in Vancouver, Washington. Yet even as Activision fought to salvage its reputation with players and investors—the stock dropped about 15% in the month after the Wall Street Journal article — and weighed the potential takeover, Kotick and the board weren’t sold on Microsoft as the acquirer, two peop

Sorry, Madden games are released in full on Gamepass. They initially have a 10 hour restriction (note: no content is restricted) and within 5 months are completely released. Actually, Cows can do the same thing as they have EA Play, now. They just have to pay for PSN… plus Ea Pay. So Cows have to pay $15 a month, just to eat EA games. Xbox owners pay $15 a month to get EA games… and a whole lot more. but hey, enjoy those psp games and actual demos, that will just be one level… forever. -

Details on Spartacus may still not be finalized, but documentation reviewed by Bloomberg outlines a service with three tiers. The first would include existing PlayStation Plus benefits. The second would offer a large catalog of PlayStation 4 and, eventually, PlayStation 5 games. The third tier would add extended demos, game streaming and a library of classic PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games. A representative for PlayStation didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. they’re gonna be using their PS5 to play… demos and PSP games -
https://www.reuters.com/markets/asia/sony-brings-knife-global-video-games-gunfight-2022-01-19/ Sony (6758.T) has just been dragged into a fight where it's heavily outgunned. Investors on Wednesday erased up to 10% of its market value after Microsoft's (MSFT.O) $68.7 billion swoop read more on video-games developer Activision Blizzard (ATVI.O). The Japanese group may lose access to some content but that looks manageable for now. The bigger worry is that Sony is no match against its far-larger rival as gamers look beyond consoles. That's fine if you want to use UK, it still went #1 that month due to PS sales It's unlikely Activision expected the new game to match the success of the more nostalgic remakes, which is just as well because Crash 4's launch sales are 80% lower than that of N.Sane Trilogy. Crash has a history with PlayStation, and so it's no surprise to see that 82% of sales were on PS4 with the remainder on Xbox One Either way, there are even more games than just Spyro and Crash, LOL. -
